Here we go again with all the numpties raging about multiboxing, when the real issue here is the Bots and the people BUY GOLD especially in Classic servers. I won’t disagree that the bots have become a massive problem and some comments above me even mention the druid herds hoovering up nodes - those are generally not your normal players, those are the ones messing up your precious game that you pay to play! Just like normal legit multiboxers do. Say what you want, you don’t like multiboxers that’s your opinion. Majority of multiboxers played for the challenge and had very little to do with "your gameplay" you probably didn’t even bump into a normal multiboxer in forever, all you saw were druid bots in every zone draining nodes in travel form with another druid sat on top ( 10 accounts in total herbing the node) <-- that right there is the problem, and yes they multibox.I've been multiboxing with Jamba addon (now EMA) since Original TBC days so around 13 or so years, no harm to anyone just me playing and making portals for myself etc, playing the game in a way I enjoyed because up until now Blizz allowed every moment of it and enjoyed taking my money to allow me to do it.Be angry all you want, I'll be angry about it too, doesn’t mean I won’t accept the decision and abide by the rules, after all I still enjoy and love playing the game (well probably not so much the last year or so)Blizz can complain about the bots all they want too, they have the power to stop them, they just chose not to. It’s not difficult to restrict IP's outside of a certain Geo Zone, or prevent Proxy servers, or restrict payments from certain countries Hell I had issues with my card buy on amazon UK with my EU card after Brexit. Blizz have the means to do so, and while they’re at it they should remove the token too, that’s how they all pay for their accounts, you but the token to sell on the AH, you get your gold and they get the game time. Plus you also buy all the herbs they farm which you're too lazy to farm yourself, but you will complain they have the advantage over you. ( I’m not singling out anyone when I say you, I mean it in a general sense)It’s a shame really, but hey what can you do?
In about a week there will be a flood of Druid accounts/Characters for sale and will probably wind up on lfg at some point.
"ONE person, ONE account" do this! Stop allowing people to play multiple characters at once even if they have to tab, it ruins the game.
Multi-boxing is just one of many ways that players CHEAPEN the game and they do this to powerlevel and rush. This above, macros, addons, etc. - just makes it easier and easier for players to NOT EARN their levels. :(
I enjoyed multiboxing a pally, druid, priest, lock, and mage through instances. Quite the challenge especially when I started in WotLK. I earned no more gold than any other 5 accounts. I did not get special items not available to any other 5 accounts. I could play through an instance - by myself, timing each command and providing breaks in the code to heal and dispel, buffs and blah blah blah. And if I wanted to pause the advance through an instance for a smoke outside or take a pee... no one complained because it was just me. And I wiped about as often as every other 5 accounts. Much of my keyboard was used via Autohotkey sending separate commands to each toon window. I can not even fathom how this affected any other player in the game but whatever. I have to add one more thing - when I told "my guys" who to attack and when, or pause... that's what they did. No pets running down the path aggroing everything, so lock or priest casting fear, no tank or healer logging off while we're preparing for the final boss and sometimes I could just stop and admire Blizzard's graphics for a minute instead of spending the entire time trying to keep up with the group through the instance.
