What happened to Mutilate? :(Talent of the Rogue trees still increase the power of muti but I can't find the actual skill on the list.. is it trainable for all classes now?

WoW is just geting more face roll each year the game is getting to the point were there cut allmost saying here have all the gear u want
From my experience in playing wow, since vanilla, there has always been a spec that puts out the most DPS/HPS. And, every time this spec is discovered, whoever isn't using that spec immediately switches to it so that they can top the charts. For every person who has complained about how this new 31 point tree forces people into cookie cutter spec's ... its not like its causing a huge change to the WoW community. The only spec's I've ever used on any of my toons, that have made me different, always ended up differing only by about 2 or 3 talents. And, they went into things that had no affect on my DPS/HPS at all. There is always going to be a "best" way to gem a toon, gear a toon, enchant a toon, spec a toon, .... and for blizz to design the trees any other way would require ungodly amounts worth of effort, thus prolonging the release of cataclysm even further.I don't think the 31 point trees will affect the way people play WoW in any way, shape or form. And, the alternating between spells/abilities at even levels and talent points at odd levels would make it seem more rewarding to me. I've leveled an embarrassing amount of toons in my time, and every odd # level has been nothing but reward-less ding that just happens mid-way between new spells/abilities. I think this is a great first pass, and with a little more fine tuning could lead to an amazing expansion.
As a fire mage, I am displeased with this new talent tree. I never had to take filler talents to get to the next tier, and there always was a clear build for raiding, devoid of useless talents. Now I *have* to take Dragon's Breath, Improved Fire Blast and Flamestrike to get this damn LB. Fire talents sure need a BIG revamp to be viable.P.S. I tried to create arcane spec to ensure that everyone gets a nerf, and suddenly realized that arcane isn't so nerfed at all in Cataclysm, they still use almost all the talents I would take for raiding. *hate*
although they look small they're quite okaybut i strongly dislike the idea of being forced to spend the majority of points into one treeaswell as there aren't enogh points to experiment a bitall the builds that will come can be foretold at this pointand there's not much of a way to make usable offroad buildsall-in-all very unsatisfyingi'd strongly advise to rethink this, blizzardor it might end up to be another real-ID-forum-posts fail
Did anyone ever stop to think that these trees aren't finished? I seriously doubt that these trees will make it to live, not if as many people are complaining about it as is, although I don't think it was Blizzard's intent to leave them anyways. The previously quoted blue quote said that the revision was simply to cut out a lot of overused or not used talents. Yeah, the crap that's left isn't going to give you a lot of choice. The little used talents are specifically that, little used, while the more overused talents are going to become mandatory. While they've stated that they haven't even looked at a good majority of trees, I don't think they've really looked at any of them from a finished point of view. The whole intent of Talent trees in Cataclysm wasn't to be your build, but to augment playstyle. They provide bonuses to skills you use, and thats the way I see them going. Now, as for my thoughts on them, I don't like the tree locking. While the only time I've ever had to split points early on in leveling was with a priest (for spirit tap, which isn't even there anymore), I still don't like having to go down one fully to be able to reach into others. I understand why they're doing it, to prevent people from grabbing spells from one specialization (since that now unlocks spec specific spells), and talents from anotherer. I can't imagine that would be too useful, but I'm sure that someone will find some game breaking Disc spec/Holy talent or Fire spec/Frost talent combo, which they are trying to avoid. In light of that, I think that just means that talents in that tree should mainly assist spells in tree tree, and with spells like Frostfire, give both trees (Frost/Fire) spells that augment Frostfire in different ways. Yeah, you can't freeze and add a DoT to an enemy anymore (an example, I've never played a mage past like level 20) by diving down both trees, maybe one of the new talents deep in Fire will add a slow/freeze to Frostfire, and one of the new talents deep in Frost will add a DoT to Frostfire (new Brainfreeze, perhaps).I think people who are really concerned about these trees need to give it a little while longer before giving up. I've always enjoyed the game, played it since vanilla. Blizzard hasn't always done the right ideas (dear god Retribution tree overhaul took forever) but they've added innovations to the MMORPG area that other games have added in. I'm willing to give it unless until final beta. If you play up until they release the first Cataclysm patch, find out you hate it, then don't buy the expansion. That's what I'm planning on doing, at least.
so whats with making Frost Deathknights take hungering cold in order to spec into howling blast? In my experience hungering cold has never been useful for raiding so why make us take it? what happened to choice and no useless talents?
Personally, I don't want easy. I am already sick of seeing people (of any age but lets face it, they seem to be obnoxious minors) who power level to 80 and get geared to the new fondness for 6000 gs and display little respect to fellow players. This game is getting too simple. Attunement's gone. Progression is gone. Rep grinding to get gear or access to stuff - gone. People are all about the gear, gearscore and sitting on their mounts in Dalaran with Kingslayer title. All too easy. You used to revere people who got to some of these raids. Now everyone's a winner. While this might seem a slight side bar to the topic, it highlights the overall direction Blizzard is taking and the talents are another not-so-fine example.Stop pandering to the simpletons. The game needs to have variying levels of difficulty and content to match. Long time gamers are bailing because they quickly reached the end of the content because they made it too easy and simple to get there. Only addicts and noobs remain waiting in desperate hope that Cataclysm will save them :(I hope that Blizzard see the light and while they are harking back to the Vanilla days, perhaps bring in other things to balance it all out. If you want to make cookie-cutter toons, fine. But make them jump through hoops to get to see the content.
I really don't like that I can't reach imp gouge as subtlety. That's cutting into the way I've played, do play and would like to play in the future.
