https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=22139In vanilla, I was not in a raiding guild, I just couldn't devote the hours it took to get a slot in a 40 man guild on my server, the requirements of the entry level guilds in my timeslot were like 6 hours a night. The linked item is the item you get after you complete the 45 minute Stratholme rescue run. Running that with my small guild was without a doubt the most fun and interesting challenge I was able to get in Vanilla, considering our entire party was in dungeon blues. It was tons of fun.Since then, I've moved on to far better loot, including main tanking Gruul and Mag, but this drop was unquestionably the greatest sense of accomplishment and fun I got from this game.
i would have to say the Finkle's Lava Dredger! :D
I'm not lucky:( Not many epics for me. I hate to ask but when I roll I always lose.
well it would probably be the time i got the pheonix mount off of kaeli was still in greens and i won the roll with a perfect 100! keep in mind the still in greens and blues
I don't raid, so when Wrathtide Longbow dropped off of heroic Prince Kalithresh, I was pretty happy. Not to mention that both Beast Lord Leggings and Beast Lord Mantle also dropped on the same run! Too bad I already had them.
My most memorable epic loot drop happened while I was building up fishing for the first time in Orgrimmar when I heard that there would be daily quests for the profession. I saddled up next to the priest trainer and cast my fishing pole with a shiny bauble attached to it and, lo and behold, my first catch was Old Crafty! (https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=34486#comments) At the time, however, I didn't know how rare of a catch he was and simply vendored him to the fishing supply npc. Perhaps a week later I check wowhead out of curiosity and find to my horror that I had just vendored an item other people spent countless hours farming in search of. After realizing this, I started farming for Old Crafty with a sort of grim determination from what I had done to my first catch. In short, I got him after 3 days at 354 skill level, +25 fishing rod, +75 skill lure = 454 skill. Now whenever I think back on my first epic catch, I'll never forget what ran through my mind as I vendored Old Crafty!
My tier 4 Helm after getting stuck tanking Prince between four infernals and having to feral charge back after each shadow nova to avoid the damage
mine would have to be my glimmering steel mantle, I mean, that thing was so ugly that it was awesome, and because of all that crit I decided to wear it instead of t6
My most epic drop was the Wildfury Greatstaff from SSC that finally dropped from a trash mob. I've always wanted the staff since I made my druid in october 2007!
