Most epic loot i ever got ? Well it's gotta be https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=25402 .
Well there is a warlock quest that gives you...https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=6900 (enchanted gold bloodrobe). After doing that long, painfull quest chain i was rewarded with the robes. As I continued on my path to 60( long before bc and lk came out), nothing dropped to upgrade my robes. I proceeded to run every instance possible, and just couldnt get anything to drop. Was untill level 60 rolled around, (still wearing those robes mind you), did the https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=16809 (felheart robes) dropped off of golemagg. Even with a roll of a 1, i still managed to get them, as I clearly needed the upgrade the most.
My most memorable moment happened over 3 and a half years ago, when I first started playing WoW. My first character was a hunter, and one of the reason that got me to play this game was the versatile soloing aspect that the hunter class gave which was impossible to do so on any other mmorpg at the time.It all started in a hunt for a pet. My cousin and I heard of this rare pet known as The Rake, a lion known for it's great speed before it was nerfed. So we decided to head for Mulgore and pay this rare a visit. Keep in mind that I have never ventured beyond the Teldrassil, let alone to a Horde territory in a PvP server. The trek to Mulgore was a hell of an experience for both our level 10 hunters.By following the location on some random map we found on google, we've arrived at the beast's supposed location/spawn. It was quite heart-pounding looking for a pet in an opposing faction's territory, let alone taming one amidst all the Horde questing. I have never PvP'd before so it also added to the anticipation. We try to avoid any Horde we see at a distance. We kept our eyes glued to the radar with Track Beast being up. Back then I wasn't too familiar about a /target macro, nevertheless spamming it. As 30 minutes have gone by, the word "The Rake" flashed on my radar as I was mousing over every dot in it. It was the most happiest moment of my early WoW gaming. To be honest, I was very satisfied on just finding the pet.Since I was the one who spotted it on the radar, my cousin gave me the honor of taming it first. And he wandered off somewhere. I paused for a sec, trying to figure out where I place the Tame skill button. The minute I found it, I paused yet again thinking to myself that I am about to tame one of the rarest pet. As I begin to tame, a level 16 Tauren Hunter out of nowhere jumped me. Not knowing what to do then, my first reaction was to run the minute I saw my life went down rapidly. As I was being chased by the Tauren hunt, I told my cousin what happened. He tried to engage him but he was abit too strong. So he ended up running, as well. He finally stopped following us, and ran back towards the location of The Rake. We healed up, and said, "You know what, let's go back." We figured he wanted it as a pet, and there was no way in hell that my first few days of WoW will be spent camping a beast in an unfamiliar and unfriendly territory. So we headed back, and to our surprise he hasn't tamed it yet. Then he begins to tame... What did we do? We double teamed his ass as he was in the process of channeling. He didn't even try to cancel it. So it was a race between us killing him and him taming The Rake. And we killed him before he can tame. How close was he to taming it? Only he knows. All I know is that I tamed The Rake on top of his corpse. And it was very gratifying. Correction, THAT was the most happiest moment of my early WoW gaming. I will never forget that moment for that was the moment when it made me feel what it's really like to be a hunter, how it really feels to earn something of great value, and thought me an important PvP lesson: and that is to always get the first jump on others. =]

My most epic loot I got was the Wildfury Greatstaff from the trash mobs in SSC because in BC it was one of the top tanking staffs at the time and I was so thrilled to finally get it!
I was leveling my priest and got randomly invited into a group by some guy who needed help with a quest mob. When the mob I was killing died the Bow of Searing Arrows dropped. I wasn't paying much attention and just clicked greed thinking it was just some crappy green (as usual.) When I realized what I had done (and about 10 seconds later I see him click NEED. This was the very first epic I ever saw and I got really angry that he ninja looted it from me. I logged onto my brothers account (on the same server, opposite faction) and camped the kid for about 2 hours. When I finally got back to questing the very first thing I kill drops a Bow of Searing Arrows and the next thing I kill drops a Myrmidon's Signet. Needless to say it was one of the most epic things that's happened to me.Another one was my guilds first night in Sunwell Plateau and I had been joking around with one of our shaman that the very first drop was going to be Mounting Vengeance. We get in, and off the first pull in the raid, Mounting Vengeance drops. The shaman gets it and has told me on multiple occasions that the only reason it dropped was because I said it would.
Getting my Winterspring Mount Pre-BC back when the quests only got 50 rep and we were level 60! Ouch! Epic!
The Hunter Bow and StaffMy most epic loot was when I, after days and hours of preparationsand days of whiping and dying and days of waiting for those bosses to spawn! I finally beated them all, and recived my very best epic loots https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=18715 and https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=18713The feeling when i beated them one by one is so big i cant even tell how it felt, it was just the best thing that i've ever experience in wow. Thanks Blizzard for my very best adventure!
The most epic loot i can think of was a quest reward in Un'goro.... ya know the quest that has you walk to winterspring and do a crap load of random things just to be annoying... well Linken's Sword of Mastery and Linken's Boomerang were epic enough to make it all worth while ^_^
Being one of the first druids on my server to get Staff of the Plaguehound from Kel'Thuzad.
When I was level 40 I got the staff of Jordan drop in Tanaris from a turtle of all things. However I was new to the game back then and didnt need it as I was a hunter and gave it away to a freind for free. Needless to say I never saw that "friend" again. Looking back on it now I /palmface every time I think about it.
My most epic loot was this(kinda):I've been wanting Ashes of Al'ar for a real long time.Obviously I toughed it would NEVER drop. Tough me and my guild kept trying and hoping. Then the day after my birthday it DROPPED! Then something more amazing happened, my GM told my guild to pass on it except for me. And to see it as a birthday present. I was obliterated and overjoyed. But people really didn't pass on it and i didn't get it but I think that if they would have, it would have been my most epic loot ever.
