The day I got Teebu's Blazing Longsword during the AQ40 Event.
The best drops for me are always those really rare recepies for my professions. So I would say one of the most epic loots I got was this JC design I got from MGT. i was thrilled the party let me have it without question.
I've been through alot till i got my loot, "Time-Lost Figurine"."Transforms caster to have the appearance of a Skettis arakkoa"I had to farm 40 x , in order to summon Terokk.I farmed 160 scrolls, killed 16 mini bosses and 4 times terrok, untill terokk dropped the trinket and i've won it.Since then i'm using it almost every cooldown and /dance, it has his unique dance and unique visual attacks.
I played WoW since day #1, I remember when my druid first hit 60, I transfered to Archimonde to raid with a guild called Xtreme, when my brother and I first came into Xtreme, we had no gear, they were farming MC at the time. We did MC our first day on the server, DKP system got us by the balls and we couldn't win any loot unless NOBODY needed it, of course. Everyone did. I was using some green, Seeing all these druid epics pass before my eyes, I was very sad, but I knew if I farmed DKP and stuck in there, I'd get my loot. We did Lord Kazzak that night, the world boss in Blasted Lands. The Amberseal Keeper dropped, our world boss rules were all greed for whom can need, no DKP involved. I was so excited, I rolled... I remember getting a 22/100, and remember getting so mad. The first day on the server and already bad luck. A mage by the name of Kerensky /rolled a 100, and said "Pass to Amoora." Perhaps a bad way to get loot, but I'll never forget his generousity, it was the first epic on my druid, a staff that most never people have even seen, let alone get from a stranger. The funny thing at the time, was it was a caster DPS staff, consisting of mainly damage, he could have used it, but he helped our new healer (me) out for the sake of the raids, and it did not go unnoticed, I followed the guild through BC and became one of the main healers, mostly because of guild generosity. THANKYOU KERENSKY AND ALL XTREME MEMBERS!
Pre-WotLK, sitting in Ironforge, trying to fish for Old Ironjaw. Spent day after day there, with no luck. I had to have over 3000 fish catches and still no fish. I even fished down in the lava.WotLK release date. Death Knight. I finish the starting area, head to Ironforge and start fishing. I get Old Ironjaw in under 40 catches. I was so angry. Then, in the next 20, I catch ANOTHER Ironjaw.I switch toons to my warrior and head to Ironforge, hoping my luck was still with me. I start fishing. Nothing.. Nothing.. Nothing.. About ten or twenty catches in, BAM Ironjaw! I was so happy and estatic. All that time and hard work wasn't for nothing.
Saving up my DKP and going from a Staff of Dominance to the first real healing weapon our guild ever got. The Widow's Embrace. (We had only one regalia drop in AQ40 which went to a mage.) Had to roll it from another guy who had 100% attendance and same DKP as well :D
getting the Headless horseman mount, on my 2nd run, while i was 67, after i saw it the first run too. My broke warrior got to 70 that week too, like 3 days before wotl came out, got a free mount which i dont have to ever upgrade, great for always being broke, just need to gather the training cost, which still sucks, haha.
It would have to be yesterday when i got a group to raid all four alliance cities. The first two cities were chaos me and 3 others had to guard the door of King Varian and Magni Bronzebeard while the other 34 ambushed the kings of each city. In the end Horde dominated all in resistance and i got my first epic mount with out buying it with a currency Reins of the Black War Bear. The feeling of the win just made you wanna yell "FOR THE HORDE" as you were chopping heads off. My first "Northrendish" mount. Most epic battle and loot all in one raid.
My most epic loot must have been:'Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker'I just went mad when I had spend a year to get both bindings! Back then I was the main tank of the best guild on our server. I had the best gear that was possible back then, most of the time I was the raidleader also! I still remember it was a Friday-night. We wouldn't raid till the end of the vacation, but I just had to go to Molten Core. Then the epic moment came.. The second binding was mine! With a roll of 98 against 12 (our other tank, a Dwarf) I won the second binding. It just felt so epic! Everyone in that raid and the rest of the people in the Teamspeak server congratsed me! I was so pride that friday-night.. Right after the raid we went to Silithus, to get that epic sword. A major elemental spawned, but with the trust and the knowledge of my guild we downed him. And bam, the quest reward? The best sword that was in the game available.. I almost cried IRL, I was so happy that after a year of work and farming, I got my sword! But then, the next day that I stood in Ironforge. The whispers, the congratulations.. I loved it! This was and still is my epic loot ever! The warglaive on my rogue was like the 1% of the happiness I had for my Thunderfury..
Ruby Slippers... I wasn't interested in raiding back then, and I ran Karazhan just so I could say "There's no place like home..." while hearthing. Yup, I'm a dork.
