Well the most epic drop iv gotten would be, the Arcanite Ripper, its epic :D

When I finally dinged 40 and amassed the necessary gold for my first ever mount (it seems like so long ago) I was blown away at the +60% speed. The "best" part was trying to explain to my father the reason for my excitement over my virtual stripey cat which happened to match my pet.
The most epic and expensive thing I have ever dropped would have to be Cask of Dalaran Red.
The most epic drop I've ever seen was myself... out of the sky. I was killed by Alexstrasza, yup, the life-binder herself. What happened was...I was flying into Icecrown from Dragonblight, and it turned out not to be Icecrown, it was Wintersgrasp, where flying isn't allowed. So I immediately turned around to avoid being dismounted, but I wasn't quick enough. Since I was near the wrathgate, cause its close to Icecrown, Alexstrasza had her aura, which silences (which I did not know at the time). So when I was finally dismounted, I was up too high to let the parachute let me down the whole way without dying, so I right-clicked the parachute buff to make it go faster and my plan was to bubble...Wasn't Alexstrasza's though, her EVIL silence aura didn't let me bubble! So I fell to my death.I could tell she was laughing at me the whole time too.
My Epic Lootz happened over a week, after I first started playing back in fall of 06, I was mid 30s in STV questing with a friend, when the Fiery War Axe drops, we roll, I win, friend is not happy. A few days later in Zul'Farrak we get to the area with all the Beetles I'm killing away, then the Robes of Insight drop, we roll, I win, friend is not happy nor does he party with me again for like 3 months. This is when we were both noobs too, said friend is also my roommate and still to this day says I have roll hacks and I'm a loot (insert word that rhymes with door here). Now I do realize these aren't the best items nor anywhere close, but since I don't raid and mainly PVP epic items are bought not dropped. So those are my phat lewtz that dropped for me back when I was new to the game, I was excited lol.Good times.
The mot predominant epic that I have aquired would have to be obtaining Stormrage Pauldrons just a couple weeks before BC came out. I had been playing WoW since the end of May in 2005... and raiding Molten Core not long after hitting level 60. Blackwing lair, given it was released not too far after I began playing WoW, was supposed to be amazing. When my guild finally was able to progress into BWL, we took a pretty long time to finally kill all the bosses (2 months?). Anyway, remember the year 2005? I was in 7/8 T2 (Stormrage) from at least January, 2006. Chromagus was really pushing my buttons, we raided BWL weekly and he never dropped a single Stormrage Pauldron... My guild ended up disbanning, and I continued my efforts through weekly pug runs. One pug run (with 4 druids in the raid) TWO Stormrage Pauldrons dropped. I literally almost pooped myself. I had stocked up a lot of gold (honestly 1,200ish which was a ton back then) to be able to buy the other druids off... Only one of them was so nice as to back down from rolling. Story short, I rolled a 2 and lost the shoulders right infront of my eyes. Ugh, that still sucks looking back on.Anywho, I took a break from doing BWL after that. Ended up running it two weeks in a row near the release of BC (I was in Naxxramas gear and T3 at this point) and on the second run, BAM, I got my freaking shoulders. Was pretty funny, everyone on vent was like "wooh... congrats... "Sorry I know its long but... man that was the biggest pain in the butt. Yeah boy, I'm 8/8 T2!
realizing that JC doesn't suck anymore and that i can put +32spell power gems in any socket
I was pretty happy when I got my Azuresong Mageblade back in the MC days. My guild had a Staff of Dominance drop on our first or second kill, but we didn't get Mageblades to drop until we'd almost killed Ragnaros. I ended up getting the 2nd or 3rd Mageblade, and was content to stick with it for a long time :)(I didn't replace it until pretty much when Naxxramas came out, I ended up getting a Staff of the Shadow Flame, since I couldn't get my hands on the sword Viscidious drops.)
