So I had to gear up a complete fresh Warlock and also grind enough echoes to fill out my gear with
Void Ritual.
Void Ritual is the perfect corruption to increase the damage on
Chaos Bolt since the damage scales with Versa, Crit, and Mastery.
Thanks to the
Bane of Havoc PvP Talent, we are able to split a single
Chaos Bolt into as many people as we need, as long as they stand on top of the rune. However, using this talent we will be unable to get a 65% damage boost on Chaos Bolt from
.
So I had to gather Azerite Pieces with
Crashing Chaos and
Chaotic Inferno. Azerite Essences that are important are
Worldvein Resonance and
The Formless Void. Aswell as
Corrupted Gladiator's Badge and
Fireblood racial.
You also receive a 12% damage boost from
Rain of Chaos.
All of this will boost the basic damage of Chaos bolt by A LOT.
However, adding in 10k secondary stats from
Void Ritual. Will make the damage around a million. However, it varies a lot because of our Mastery adding a random amount of damage.
The issue with using that many Void Ritual is that the new debuff Blizzard added, called
Inescapable Consequences makes you take a lot of damage each second spent in Combat. This debuff is active when you have 200 or more Corruption.
Good news is that we are able to get Void Ritual to proc at least! Insta killing critters or frogs from
Gently Squeezed Toad (an item bought in Shadowmoon in Draenor) only makes you enter combat for 1 or 2 seconds, so you can be lucky and proc it on each kill.
Bad news is once you wanna do the AOE one-shot,
Bane of Havoc puts you into combat! And Inescapable Consequences scales with your own versatility and crit, making it one or two-shot you.
Best news is that there is a simple way around this. Simply removing ur
Void Ritual gear after you got a proc makes it keep stacking up the secondary stats at full power. You can then enter combat with your normal gear along with an insane stat boost!
