Good
After Diablo Immortal horrific crud of a game w/ Net Ease prob for the best
of course they are going to cancel this after they proved that the Diablo Immortal gamble paid off. It saddens me that mobile games have become such a money grab, especially for the younger players who will regret spending money on it when they are done playing it.
Good. Put your money in wow 2.0
Good.
Finally some good news !
Dodged a bullet there.
I’m still waiting for a star trader frontier esque StarCraft mobile game. How can a brother of 2 made more brilliant and well maintained game than blizzard is beyond me.Giving up all that had built up in a 20+ years IP is even more mind blowing decision than endlessly squeeze life out of the dying gold egg goose in wow.As shown in Warcraft IP, the continuation of an IP doesn’t necessarily keeping in the same genre, it can be of whole brand new genre, utilising all the lore and stories that has build up all those years.StarCraft universe came to a point that concluded the whole cycle of xel naga, so the future of the universe is for all to speculate. Why not make it like star traders frontier, where player could pick a job in star craft universe, captain own crew and ships, managing resources thru fixed stories that can be released without any limit for prolonged period.Such a shame no big company see the success of star traders frontier and pick up on the model.
Whoever decided to cancel it deserves a raise.
Probably can't have their Chinese partners getting them banned from the Chinese market.
I dont understand what is it with people and pokemon GO. such a stupid concept.
oh god. i had completely forgotten about that clash ripoff.
Everyone is blaming Diablo Immortal being a bad game as the reason for this cancellation but in reality it's been a financial success for them so that isn't the reason. This is 100% due to NetEase losing operating rights in China after that one employee tweeted about Xi Jinping from their Weibo account. If the Chinese market is out of the question, no Western board will greenlight projects.
It always sounded like Netease was more interested in the quick cash grab scheme. Could see this as Blizzard not wanting another Immortal PR disaster with the player base and Netease having little interest in being the good guy.I recall there was a news report shortly after Immortal was announced. While Blizzard interviews were saying how it's still a good way out to make a good product, Neatease was like it's ready to start making money right now!
Okay, I know why this happened at this point in time, but I can't talk about it here because I've been banned for talking about it before.
Good, don't want another disaster game ruining the reputation of a "good" game
Good news, if it's to get a bad game with micro transaction and ruining the aspect of this beautiful game no thanks.
