I agree 15 dungeons is too much, but what do you want then? Shouldn't people that have done more get better options? If I'm someone that's already doing 20+ dungeons a week, then why shouldn't I get an edge over someone that isn't doing this? The system isn't even out and there's already so many people saying it's the most stupid implementation they've seen. We don't even know if we're going to get 9 choices per week or if it's going to be capped at say 3 or 5. It's also possible that the reward isn't based on the lowest of the top 15 runs. For all we know, it could just be the lowest of the top 3 runs, but you do need to complete 15 dungeons. And yes, I know high end players will feel the need to do this, but I think Blizzard can't limit themselves because of what people will do if they implement a "grind". For example, getting rank 3 breath of the dying. Do you think something like that shouldn't exist, because people will feel like they have to do it? In my opinion that just takes away from the game and gets us to the point, where everyone just gets everything they want with no effort (big surprise).
This system is terrible.I don't understand how this company continues to make these idiotic "design changes" and thinks its improving the game.
Once again people losing their @#$% over a datamined, potentially outdated, iteration of the system.
I'm not a fan of this with the current numbers of M+ you need to run to unlock everything. If it was more like 1/3/5 to unlock everything that's more manageable to get the max reward in terms of time investment. And for me the big issue is that this system as it stands for Mythic + screams CHORE. At least with the BFA system I can do my one 15+ key on my main and any alts I have and I'm done for the week. If I want to do more, or go higher, cool, but that's on me, not something that I feel is being dictated due to a 'fill the bar' type of mechanic.
what? for the mythic+ gear slot you obviously have to complete a mythic+ each week lol
Okay, just what is up with the complaining now...I refuse to believe that everyone BUT the highest of the high players need to do 15 dungeons at max level every week for max gear. This just makes it more fair for M+ dungeoneers to gear up without feeling punished for not raiding.Small example:I like to pvp, raid and do m+ with my friends. My friends, though, dislike raiding, so they stick mainly to m+ and to some extent, pvp.One week I did 8 raid bosses, I collected my 250 conquest and I did 8 mythic dungeons, so I get to choose between 2 items from the raid lane, 3 items from the pvp lane and 2 from the m+ lane. Now, my friends do a little bit of pvp, so they only manage to get 110 conquest, so that gives them 1 choice in the pvp lane, they don't do a single raid boss, so they get no gear from the raid lane, and they do over 15 m+ runs, as they love to run multiple every day, and that's their main fun of WoW.In conclusion, I get to 1 item out of 2 choices from the raid lane, 1 item from the m+ lane and 1 item from the pvp lane, which nets me 3 items in total. My friends, though, only get 1 choice in the pvp lane, BUT 3 choices in the m+ lane, netting them 2 items in total. So, where am I going with this? Well, my friends did A LOT more dungeons than me. Many, many more. BUT in (arguably) less time, I managed to get more gear by doing other content, like pvp and raids. They may have gotten a 50% increase in choices regarding the m+ lane. Hell, all 3 of the items from the m+ lane could be BiS, but it won't matter, because they can only go home with 1, while I can with 3.The 3rd choice for M+ gear is indeed interesting and nice to have, but far from being worth pursuing unless you already do a hell lot of dungeons every week. If you just do 5 or 6, then just go do some PvP or raiding for the other lanes, as they will net you more stuff in the end, anyway.Seriously, this complaining is just sad now... Right now you can only get 1 item from the weekly chest no matter how many dungeons you do. In SL, you're MIDLY REWARDED for doing more, which is great! Now you no longer feel that doing multiple 15+ a week is a waste of time, as the weekly chest is the only thing with a possible upgrade, and if you seriously think that you need to do 15 dungeons a week for a 50% increase of loot choices, then you do you, but I'm 95% sure that it's made that high to reward people that mainly play WoW for M+, and not just some random HC raider cry. Otherwise, they'd just have made it so you get an additional item, and not just a choice.
While I do think this system as a whole is a great upgrade over what we have now, you would be a fool to think otherwise. It once again does reek of blizzards need to over complicate things.I get the need for spam protection, but even then I think that's a problem they have invented themselves by making the top req 15, as they have been doing in recent years.1/4/7 runs would still demand time but not the huge amount that 1/5/15 does.
So, I was hoping to see less of the "chest of disappointment", but some greedy KPI-mining jack at Blizzard is telling me NO, U.Less rng means offering some form of choice for what I am already doing, and not placing it behind a humongous, inhuman grind. Sure, you "pro gamers" may get something out of that, but I don't give a crap because for a "casual scrub" like me, this "change" is ZERO, ZIP, NULL, NO change at all.Fine, that's "the rng is same as before, but grinds are even bigger" as an answer to former guildies asking about the new expac.
