it is complete &*!@? How can they even consider a nomination?
Voted by fans doesn't mean its actualy good its just the one that had the most ppl go "Oh I play WoW so I will vote this I guess"
Going by this and the level of the prior Warcraft books I've read, tie-in novels seem to be in the low leagues. Shadows Rising served me Azeroth-stuff, which is why I bought it in the first place, it was good for that. As a book in general? Nah.Roux can write serviceable prose, so I bet she could do an actual good book when not constrained by existing material.
Yeah, I barely listen to these nominations and all that &*!@, you can buy a spot or he'll even the whole competition like that if you can afford it. This happened with TLOU2 on Games Awards so I take this with a grain of salt lol.🤔Tbh, don't really know any places where you can't buy a spot. Which is kinda sad
Why was this nominated? I mean it wasn't the worst but it's pretty close! There are certainly better Warcraft books, Roux did a pretty subpar job here. All the characters come off as angry/irritable, there was barely any progression of the plot, and the writing style made for a generally unpleasant read.
Can they start putting the story into the game instead of outside of it though? That would be great.
Far to much of the story of WoW is not done in WoW.
I'm actually surprised. This book was pointless. There is so much more information in Before the Storm that is more important for Shadowlands than Shadows rising.
Sad that mediocrity is rewarded.
