Hope this is an out of season April fools joke. This is literally the difference between me playing and me not playing this expansion. This system has no place in the current game. It's 8.3 all over again. This is literally saying, if u're a top1% player but don't have the top1% time to play, don't subscribe to this game.
ITT: People that cried about corruptions, got their corruptions shop and still managed to suck at the game.
Why? Why make this ^&*! so ^&*!ing annoying.
They already stated in another interview recently that the soul binds being destroyed will not go live like how it is in the beta. They haven't said what they are going to do instead but that the current beta of them being destroyed when replaced will not go live.Hopefully they do a library system similar to how Glyphs were done during Cata where once you learn it, you can just switch out as you want, then just make it to where your existing one in your library is replaced by a more powerful one being found.
That choices are permanent or atleast semi-permanent is a philosophy they got 100% right imo and a decision I pray they won't cave in on. Choices are what rpg are. You choose a class and your gear doesn't carry over if you decided to reroll another class. Nobody seems to have an issue with that, and yet it's literally the same thing.
Blizz, listen to your most faithful players commenting here.LISTEN to them. They DO NOT want to grind. They DO NOT want the game to be complicated. It is time to LAUNCH a darn FUNSERVER. That's right! INSTANT 60 funserver. You log in, you go to the vendor, you get all gear, gems etc. FOR FREE! Then you go out in Azeroth (by Azeroth I mean in front ot Orgrimmar/Stormwind) and fight in duels for ages. PvE? Nah, all gear is free on a vendor! PvP? Just join battlegrounds/arenas with cutting edge gear and see who is most SKILLED BRUH! All of you commenting that grind is awful: This grind is end-content stuff you have to do and without it you will be fully geared within 2 weeks after launch... They made leveling easier (DasMephisto got 1-60 on Beta for 6 hours). They removed the level required for leveling zones. They made it easier to get max-level so YOU CAN PLAY end-content quicker. Do you prefer to stay for a week in Stranglethorn Vale being ganked for hours unable to kill a single mob (not even talking about completing whole quest)? And now you want even easier game and demand Blizz to remove the grind and make everything account wide just to call their game boring after 2 weeks and quit it (like many of you did several times). This is our game and playing it cannot annoy a true WoW player. So less QQ, more PEW PEW!GG Blizz, can't wait for release!
Likely good scenario:Conduits have ranks, you can level them slowly but easily enough over time in standard gameplay, and getting them high feels nice. Players can switch covenants, but they lose all conduit ranks and start at 0 for the new convenant's conduits. This incentivizes staying in one covenant for the built up benefits, but it permits switching for those willing to pay the price and build back up their ranks. This strongly discourages constant swapping, which is the point, but it allows switching within reason. If this is the case, that would be a fantastic compromise. It retains some individuality but allows for freedom and not system abuse.
This looks amazing! No one plays a mmo to get full BIS then quit untill next patch. This actually gives us something to do now!
Or as Ian said we let gear be gear (ie gear is the grind not all the other systems).
This seems to correlate with the total number of renown ranks for covenants too, wonder if we possibly get a system where covenant renown rank determines the rank of each conduit.
