Yeah Vanilla encounters weren't really much about mechanics. I remember threemanning Ony in early/mid BC with 3 people, Warlock, me as Bear and a third which I sadly forgot which class, possibly a Mage.

Of course, this is only possible because Onyxia deep breaths less often in this patch. It might not be possible when she deep breaths more next patch. Or has she has cast deep breath more often lately? Has anyone noticed that? Oh well, at least they handled the many whelps just fine!
And here I thought I was a badass for soloing onyxia in wotlk on my protpala.

57 minutes...and she probably drops rogue and hunter gear. Now that would be a fitting end of the video. I mean clearly doing it wasn't for the gear, but still funny though. Loot drama in classic was always funny to me. Well sad...but funny at times also. RNG loves to smash your hopes and dreams.

When they reworked ony (not sure if that was wotlk or what) situation almost like this were pretty much normal in pugs. Not exactly 2man, but often 3-4 man (1 of each role and maybe 2 DPS if you're lucky), or more precisely people who actually knew what (not) to do in the fight, and fights would last like 20 mins or so.

It was entirely relevant to the subject given that I was talking about the subject of this article and people's responses to it.I'm responding to all the people dismissing this accomplishment. I have no idea why so many people are treating this like it isn't worthy of note. When's the last time anybody here duo'd Onyxia (in Classic)?

I remember when they brought back the Onyxia fight during Wrath. I was Paly tanking in a pug and about half way through the entire raid died but me. And I ended up soloing the rest of the fight as a Paly. Paly self heals were insane back then lol. Damn I remember hearing people in comms complaining at first and saying I needed to die. But as time went on they started to say HOLY SH T he's doing it! And then the nerd screams when I killed the boss. It was my own little worlds "Worlds First" moment lol.
