Most of the changes they made to the classes for WoD, I enjoy or can even abide by. However, I just can't get over some of the mage changes especially for frost spec. Playing my mage doesn't have the same feeling as it did before 6.0.
I'm so glad the stat squish happened and that there won't be flying. it'll be like being back in an easier, more fun vanilla.
Thought the panel was a little lackluster but overall pleased with the changes they've made :D
Very excited about the changes, with my main being a mage though I was hoping we would get a little more survive-ability. But maybe that will come later. Guess that's why I will work on getting multiple classes to 100 in case some aren't up to par!
Im so happy I can go back to Holy! Last time I had fun playing healing Priest was early Cata..!
going to give all our tokens to the op class of a specific tokenclass because they can be wf/sockets/other stat- but wait theres a solution.. make 2 kinds of token, like HEAVY/ VANQUISHER IRON TOKEN or something like that so you can see before you use it if its wf/with sockets/ other stats or NOT THX!
So far in 6.0 I'm happy with the 2 classes I have at 90. I don't miss having to worry about Inquisition on my Paladin (although I do sometimes still go to hit the button when I have Holy Power that's about to fade without a target to hit). I do sometimes miss having a bomb spell on my Mage, but it always felt wrong to me to be using Living Bomb on my Frost Mage. I like that now all my spells are basically Frost spec spells, but I did notice that it makes getting silenced/interrupted more annoying. At least there's still FFB! Always was my fav Mage spell :)
Gladiator's Resolve really should be really 4th spec, same as guardian druid, blizzard is just lazy :)
thank God Blizz for removing the necessity to visit a main city to swap tier token for the tier piece :P
yay I get to be holy again. stupid smite healing
As a mage it was so hard to solo old content, but the stat squish and the consequent buff made it way easier to solo old content, but still, when I play my warlock, I see a HUGE difference soloing, it's a gazillion bazillion easier as a lock.I hope they tackle this to make all old content evenly soloable by all classes.
Somewhat satisfied with the changes coming. Pretty hyped overall.
Hmm.. not sure about the changes. Seems interesting though
So, while I agree with many of the Q&A responses listed above, some of these answers just seemed lazy. My favorite hand-waving response was about the retribution paladin. They envision a scenario where the raid leader/creator looks around and says, "Yes, all these other classes have higher damage production and require less healing - they also have greater range... but I miss having a retribution paladin around. Let's just suck it up and carry one along... He'll be our mascot!"
I'm really surprised there is still commentary on priest Shadowform, but never any talks about how elemental shamans are the only hybrid caster without a permanent altered form. I've always found it to be a bit unbalanced that shamans have had crazy utility and the capacity to heal without costing them a global to return to their dps form (shadowform for priests, moonkin form for druids)--i.e. they're not having to sacrifice damage as much to be able to spam a heal on a teammate in pvp. I mean, yes, they gave dps shamans a form-altering CD in cataclysm but it's still not comparable to boomies and sps.
I don't think I like how they keep simplifying it. I mean, item upgrades weren't confusing...
All sounded the same...just summarized for the masses...
Don't nerf Disc plz
The kick back to pre 1.12 ability levels is nice and all, but I'm still bitter about the loss of thorns as a CD for druids, among a few others. Alas, hopefully they'll see the light and give me back some situational utility (especially for balance). I mean I agree with some changes, but the whole rogue vs feral positioning changes doesn't make too much sense to me. Either way, I'll try to retain judgement until the expac actually launches. This won't be easy, as patience is not my strong suit!
hate the changes, I'm pretty sure it's not just me...
