They should keep all of the vanilla systems for the true experience
These servers both excite me and worry me. Will I again feel what it was like to play the game for the first time, when it came out as a 10 year old; or will I be disappointed to realize that I will never return to that same "high" again? These are the questions I've asked myself since I was in my later teens. This game has been a major source of my happiness since I was young and has comforted me during my hardest times as someone who deals with muscular dystrophy constantly. As hard as this illness is to coupe with, I shall never cease to hope and dream that I will be able to outlive this game and be able to look back at that beautiful moments it has given me and the good times I've shared with my friends and family. I hope also, to one day be able to inspire, suggest and get some of my ideas recognized by Blizzard and hopefully a piece of my soul will forever be reflected within the coding of this game, even when it does usher in its last breath of life to its fans. I'm currently writing a letter to Blizzard in hopes that I could add a part of myself to their "World" by spreading the essence of my dreams and ideas to the core of blizzard's establishment. Also, I hope they can assist me with something that has been wearing me down for quite some time within the World of Warcraft, but this is something on a personal level I would like to explain to Blizzard myself. So with a little luck, and the help of a Blizzard Intern friend, I hope to make these dreams a reality.
Im so hyped for this :)
For sure I will try it. But I'm only interested in levelling and dungeons.
Not sure if I am actually looking forward to this - the Devs have had a tin ear and been outright mean to the player base for the last incarnation and truth be told I just don't trust them.Proof is in the pudding so lets see how things turn out in reality compared to the hype.Keep your backs covered - those knives of theirs have had a lot of use in the past.
Coundnt be more excited for this! Can restart my guild on vanilla!
I can't wait to start a club for this server. It will be so epic!
I hope we can do old Naxxramas :D
I came in when BC launched. My husband had been playing since vanilla. We're really curious as to how authentic they're going to be. Like he had his Tauren warrior as his main. Will he be limited to plainsrunning? Can you imagine the whining from the noobs who roll a Tauren and find out there's no mount when everyone else gets one? What a hoot!
I just wainting Vanilla!
It is cool. But not for me. I prefer the actual game than vanilla!
From what i've heard, and seen throughout the comments. The only people really hyped for Vanilla are those who didn;t play it. You guys have to realize that Vanilla had tons of issues. It's like a vintage car. Sure it's cool, and it was great at the time. You might even get one, but apart from driving it couple of days in a year your main vehicle will be a modern one. Because the old one compared to the new is going to be pain in the ass, simply because you experienced the new.For me, and most of my friends the best times of WoW was BC and (some will argue) Wrath. If Blizzard is going to do this properly, I image that there's going to be ton of changes. If not, the population on vanilla wow would quickly decrease. I think they are going to remake the game, leaving just the content (and some changes to it too).
Super excited. I celebrated so much when I knew about that! I too wonder if retired items are coming back, and if so, how they will work being account bound like appearances and mounts. I wonder if we're going to see some events again like the opening of AQ!I hope for a VERY Vanilla server, the more original the better, even if that means old ugly models (ok jk on that) :p I expect to see the dungeons and maps how they originally were, the old talent system, the retired items and quests and so much more.
Well, when this will get live eventually, think that many will start playing this and who knows maybe more players from the futured expansions since vanilla
Super excited about this, can't wait
I NEED Palomino!
Hope they add legacy mounts, or similar :D
During the opening ceremony, I was a bit puzzled when Brack started talking about ice cream...but when he got to this point I chuckled. Well played good sir!The intro video was really neat too, heavy with nostalgia, with a touch of humour. Was a great way to bring this to the forefront and present it to the very eager community.
Check the number of players online on the Runescape 3 website and the check the Oldschool Runescape website. Currently it's 76,000 on RS3 and 51,000 on Oldschool RS. Blizzard is finally following suit and I'm sure it will be in their favor. There's is absolutely no reason anyone should have an issue with this. It will be a completely separate product and will not concern the current version of WoW in any way.
