I have slowly come around to the idea of having a classic server. Started in BC (early on) and I am curious to see what the actual vanilla servers were like. I realize that we’ve come a long way regarding QoL, but going back to that time will be neat.
Classic servers are fun, though adding in auto loot would be king :P
As I didn't start until TBC I would love to try vanilla even though it's still far away
back to the future!
I guess I'm glad for the people who want it but...I already played Vanilla, I don't really want to play it again. If they go through with QoL changes like not dismounting in water, is it truly a Vanilla experience? No, not really. So, what things about Vanilla do people really want, I think is the real question. It would be fun to experience it again it's true, but we were also very different people back then. We were noobs (and easily impressed)! Now...we're not, and we expect something very different. It will be interesting to see how it plays out, to say the least.
I think it will for sure buy blizz a TON of goodwill with players for a good while to come.
In my opinion, only new character model. The rest should be left as it was in the latest patch of Vanilla. No more, no less. Anyhow, I'm hyped They chose to bring Classic live(no matter when it'll be released, just bring it. Play it cool, guys. Play it cool) I'll surely play it from time to time when it make it to the live servers :)
Should be interesting to see how they work things. Will it have LFG? Will it have your account wide pets/toys/mounts? Will it have the ability to get Scarab Lord, if so, will it be account wide? so many questions!
I'm happy for the people that want this, and I hope it's everything they're expecting, but it's not for me. Been there, done that, want to keep moving forward, not back. It's true I missed out on things like raiding old school MC and Naxx, but the amount of work to put in just for that? Or just to chase mounts and items removed from the game? No thanks, I have enough WoW to play as it is.I hate to say it, but I think Classic should be separate from live WoW. I don't think playing Classic should give an advantage, it should be just to relive that experience.EDIT: Also, we're already talking about the new models and stuff going into it? What's the point of Classic if you're just going to pick and choose from live WoW anyways?
More Warcraft always makes me happy, i do want some account wide stuff though, there is a couple pets and recipes I would like, which brings up another thing, transfers, err copy transfers maybe?
finally we will see the end of the drama!I hope blizzard to be succesfull with this proyect(and maybe it have some little quality of life changes)
I bet all the vanilla heads who were chatting !@#$ feel bad now for all the bad names they called blizzard. Well, I've seen some who are still salty, somehow...
Can't wait to see all those Hunter players that wanted Classic servers to have to Feign Death and drink for mana again. :P
Unless you can acquire e.g. T3 appearances or ZG mounts for your main account, I won't be interested in this.
Very excited to see how this turns out and if it'll be good or bad for WoW in the long run. Personally it doesn't seem that interesting to me, but I'm glad it'll be an option for those who want it.
This is actually interesting. The most promising part of the event imo.Though new xpac could still prove to be better than garbo, just judging from what they gave us I don't have any expectations...
Soooo looking forward to this
Really not that interested in this. It looks like a thing people are looking back on with nostalgia glasses. Very quickly people will realize there were many aspects of Classic that were not great.
Well maybe i would check it, when they release it, but i like the game as it is now. I see many ppl exited about it, but im not sure if it will be a 100% vanilla experience. There are things that simply wont work right now with the current engine.
