i do not mind some changes but transmog is a big NOPE from me. If you play the game there are tier sets that look good.
I play on both Grobbulus and DD. My Grobbulus toons are Horde, and DD are alliance toons. How is that going to work if they do not allow PVP toons of both alliance and horde together on the same server or will they change that? I do plan on both Classic ERA and TBC for some of my toons. I can not see me deleting my alliance toon on DD nor my horde on Grob. Now I am worried that I will be forced to make a decision. Maybe they will allow me to have DD as an alliance server and Grob as a horde server so long as I don't make an alliance on Grob. That is probably the most logical way of doing it. Crossing Fingers.
I don't want to see Shattrat or Dalaran and my raid/bg full of kikoo T1T/T2 skin with full T6 stats. So, a big NOPE for me too.
Whoa! Wait a second... is Blizzard considering Classic PLUS?"...may include new content that differ from the experience in the original WoW."WOOT! This would be so cool! There are so many corners of the original Azeroth that we could push into. I really hope this is a reality. This would help make Classic Era servers sustainable.
Why the fff they don't send it to EVERYONE who opted in for BC beta and/or played Classic? Just why?
What they're talking about in this Survey is NOT layering, its Sharding... Sharding is horrendous. I can understand tossing a layer on Org, Stormwind, and ZG island for Buff times to reduce the lag but Sharding is never the answer. If they're worried about small servers not having enough people they can just merge them into one server (following server types of course). Merging small servers is a good thing. It does NOT break up communities. Sharding breaks up communities. Sharding is like seeing an alternate reality and having limited interaction interaction with people thus making your already small server feel even smaller.
While I understand why people might want Transmog in classic. I personally don't think it belongs. I'm not gonna say anything like "retail is trash" or "keep that ^&*! in retail" because Transmog is a cool system, however, in classic I have gotten used to seeing for example a warrior in T3 and thunderfury and think "That guy is geared as hell!" having Transmog will completely remove that, and even if you inspect them to see their actual gear, you won't have the feeling of seeing a decked out guy in BiS gear, you'd have to inspect them for it. Even as a fury warrior myself, my gear is mismatched, with a bunch of different colors and looks for my set. But I've grown fond of having mismatched gear. On top of what I just said, there aren't as many pieces to use as Transmog in the first place because it is BC, while in retail, we now have 9 expansions worth of gear a tier sets to use. I think there are certain changes that should be made, but as I stated above I do not think Transmog should be one of them.
Transfer to TBC servers when we want, not when it comes out.
What kind of change would I like to see in TBC?Dual Spec. Literally no reason not to have it, other than to try and appease the NoChanges crowd that nobody cares about anymore.
aaaaaand private servers will flourish again
I'm genuinely disappointed where classic is going. Obviously, the path retail WoW took over the years is crap. The demise started with TBC itself, even though, of course, there were great additions of all sorts as well. Now, why recreate the same gradual reduction in quality: immersion, challenge, substance, player-based content, etc.? I'm a genius, I know why, because it's the safest, least creative thing to do that still pays, since people have low standards, or the competition in market is laughable.I dream of a parallel world, where WoW took a path (13 years ago with retail, or now with the reboot) where they built upon the core of what made WoW great, why people fell in love with it, and not make it a non-immersive, dopamine-hunting part-time job for completionists and no-lifers.Character boosts are one of the most toxic elements to player-based story and immersion. It's the worst form of cheating, despite being legal. Stockades boost included. Vanilla wasn't perfect either. If you are not against it, god forbid, you masterminded it, or you support, it means you live in this illusion that WoW can only be what it has been previously. That novel ways of improving the games are an absolute impossibility and we have to live with the pitfalls forever. Loosen your mind and think again. It is unlikely at this point, that creative improvement will take place, but at least in the hypothetical realm don't fool yourself that it had to be like this.
New content and quality of life changes for true Classic servers... YES. We've been asking for Classic+ since before launch. Blizz finally acknowledging the #NoChanges crowd were a bunch of morons.
