They'll deal with it never and everyone knows it.Because to Blizzard, it's not a problem.
1000%. Warcraft has at least had cross "faction" cooperation imbedded in the narrative since WC3. Sooooo before this game was released. There is nothing indelible about "faction identity" as a game mechanic, let alone story wise.
Blues on my local forum:Blizzard 2019We always have an eye on the realm population.Blizzard 2020We took a look at the population of realms worldwide.Blizzard 2021There are no current short term plans to address faction imbalance.Because screw guilds, the auction house, trading. Focus on bugged cross realm zones, activities that dont involve guilds or trading via bnet. This already created a handful of HUGE realms where all the action is and all the other realms in my region barely have population. If anyone wants more reliable access to group and raid content we need to pay for realm transfers to have what the HUGE realms have which is access to the full game that low population realms dont have.
Just bring up how many Horde guilds have completed the current raid on mythic vs Alliance. The disparity between the factions being THAT bad now is inexcusable for a dev that has claimed for the past decade to be watching player populations.
im thinking they are waiting for the story to come forward to attach it with the posibility of doing raids no faction oriented. We already started by doing the same campaign no matter faction (i mean it by starting in the same place as the horde and not separate garrisons ) A bounty hunter system where independedn fellows will join the most powerful champions to deafeat bosses no preasure or the feel of betrayal but indepence like how the pandares did.I think is the perfect ground breaking feature to add in an expansion release
I just dislike alliance races, architecture and characters, nothing will make me main an alliance toon, not even free transfer, war mode bonus, free sub tokens or whatever.
I have plenty of faction pride... for Alliance. I prefer them in every capacity, their story, aesthetic, races... I'm currently on Horde, because that's where the M+ / Raid scene is. I've tried, sincerely tried, to perform at the same level on Alliance and it's tougher. Less groups, less GOOD players. Quite a few friends of mine would readily pay full store price to faction swap our characters if we could cross-faction PvE. I just keep hoping Blizzard will take the leap, cause ultimately faction pride isn't enough to keep me in a dying cutting edge scene.
I don't really see any other solution beside allowing for cross faction interaction for things like raids, mythics and maybe even guilds. Yes, the Horde/Alliance divide is part of the game. No, I don't expect to be able to do the opposite factions storylines on my main. But in modern games you HAVE to prioritize people being able to play with their friends and play at all levels of content. It's more important than some arbitrary 'us vs them' lore.I might think differently if the story hadn't broken the idea of us being at war again and again... and if we weren't allowed to make characters on both sides. Oh... and Pandaren. But that ship sailed years ago.
If the problem is top down from competitive world first mythic raiding guilds then address the reward structure. Why not give the top 20 guilds WoW tokens or something else of value that isn't just an achievement. Suddenly a guild that would clear around 30th in the world looks over at an empty alliance side and sees $400 (20*$20) that they're throwing away.
Alliance playerbase are more likely afkers, Rpers. They lack the competitive edge most of the hordies have. So I fee bad for the allies who want to do competitive contents

More BS excuses. Factions define WoWs story, us players don't have a stake in that. Horde and Alliance key players work together all the time, there is no reason why some other members, namely players, can't also work together for limited purposes, like raiding and m+.
Could they at least address faction tagging? Obviously one the major issues of playing Alliance (at least for my server) is the fact that because there are lots more Horde players, when I try and do WQs in crowded areas it is really difficult to tag anything because they get quickly tagged by Horde players which makes doing WQs such a frustration. An easy 'short-term' solution is to remove that so even if it doesn't affect the faction imbalance, it mitigates one of it's more annoying effects.
