A big difference in WoW economy and the stock market is that at the end of the year you have to do taxes :) and if you trade a lot of stocks that can become a headache, even with import features from trading platforms to tax software. Either way, good luck making gold where ever that may be!
Sygon_Paul's guides are a true blessing.
im confused on the BMAH odds. Isnt percentages based on individual boxes? for example. say for example the Brutosaur has a 1% chance to drop from the box. If reading this right. Each Individual box will give you a 1% chance at the mount. therefore you cant just say oh if i have this many boxes to open im guaranteed the mount. EACH Box has a 1% chance, that means you open 1 you have 1%. the next Box is reset to 1% and so on. so every box you open gives you a 1%. each box you open doesnt give you a 1% boost for the next box, because it resets every box.Am I correct on this or wrong? curious
I would venture a guess that the first people who found success in the AH actually had substantial experience in stock trading IRL.Now people are re-adapting the in-game AH strategy back into the stock market.
never seen a box for 20k
the last time i saw a box for 20k was when they first came out lmao
I have never seen a box go for below 200k. Not once. On average you'll see them around 350-400k cheapest on my server. I've literally seen on sell for 1.2m. now they can contain an ah mount? I don't expect I'll ever seem them below 900k again.
With the release of 9.1 I see significant changes of legendary prices on the AH.Prices for "preferred" legendaries in neck, back, rings and legs slots go up, while legendary in slots occupied by domination sockets are decreasing. So when you are willing to sacrifice one domination gem slot, you can grab a Rank 6 legendary at the AH for a cheap price (note with 4 slots you can still get the 3 same-colored gems meta bonus).Rank 5 legendaries are not worth the investment, because they need the same amount of 40 Korthia crystals to create them, hence they are not much cheaper than the Rank 6 equivalent. Also, to get ready for raiding or equipping alts, Rank 3 and 4 legendaries are currently available on the AH for nearly no money. Grab them quickly, because the people won't reproduce them, and I would expect that the prices for these items will go up again, when the current Rank 3 & 4 stock is sold out.
You won't ever get a box for under 200k. They are mathed out to a minimum bid around that number for the boe mounts. Add to that a lot of people want those mounts for duping and its pipe dream to get a 20k box.
A guide to sell legendaries by manthius, that again sucks, i was able to sell 1 legendary 262 2 weeks ago, 300k or a bit more (cloth legs) it was bought by someone that then reposted at 400k xD and unluckily for that person i already had another 262 ready to be sold for 300/320k, i havent sold anything else. Seems that these "youtubers" dont really know the reality of most people, spending 300k+ gold is not an option for i would say 75% of players, stop glorifying these stupid goldmakers and even more, stop telling people to support them on patreon.P.S: i have 3 legendaries in the AH at the moment, havent sold any in the past 2 weeks, lightnings blade NA, high pop server
Where's these 20k lootboxes and when can I get them? Also screw the AH goblins, fees for posting are way to low when they just buy to resell and don't care if they have to repost for months just to sell a single item. Not much of an AH when it's run as a shop by a handful of individuals on every server.
The article says July 15th Hotfixes, in fact it is under July 14th Hotfixes.
