I think one of my favorite memories was back in vanilla wow, when i was just a young noob priest. My boyfriend (who plays a hunter) and I were on Uldum at the time, and we were pretty big into pvp at that time, he joined a pvp guild which i wasnt a part of but nonetheless every time there were premades i was there. We ran with the GM of the guild at the time and we pretty much held down our pvp bracket, me and two hunters gave the horde a serious run for their money. Towards the height of our ownage before we tried raiding, I was contacted by my BF's GM in game "Yo, you gotta go to myspace and see this!" So apparently there was a girl on the horde side who had dedicated long and hateful blog journal posts on her myspace including us three and she ever wrote a poem to us, I think that was one of the first times i actually saw nerd rage. I laughed so hard until i cried. Even after all those years ive played, that still tickles me right on down to the bone. Anyway, Happy Anniversary Wowhead!
One of my favorite memories in WoW is when I was about level 20 on my blood elf rogue, my first character, and I tried to run through Eastern and Western Plaguelands. It was shortly after Burning Crusade came out and my brother wanted me to meet him in Undercity. So I looked at the map and started planning my "trip", the map made it looked like a simple run through EPL into WPL and then straight to UC. When I crossed into EPL I started running on the road to get to UC. It didn't take long for me to die when a Skull level mob came and squashed my head in. So i thought its "okay I can stealth through, will take longer but I will make it." Well I corpse ran back to my body and got to full health before setting of again, this time in stealth, to try and get to UC. I made it about the same distance before the mob came and again squashed my head in. Well I must have tried 10-15 times before I gave up. I told my brother that if he wanted me to meet him anywhere it would have to be somewhere in Silvermoon City because there was no way I was making it to UC until I was higher level. He asked me how I was trying to get there, so I told me. He laughed his ass off before he told me that there was a transporter in SMC and would take me to UC.
My favorite WoW memory would be any encounter with Gruul. For some reason, having a Shatter fail and staying alive with 400 health was an amazing feeling.. plus Vent was hilarious with responses.RL: Get away!Me: <healer>! Go the other way!Healer: OH NOES!(Yukazi survives with 400 health)
My favorite memory was walking into Stormwind for the first time. OMG it was soooooo epic, and the music started playing, and I saw the statues, and yeah it was awesome.
The thing I've loved the most about wow over the years is how you can create your own fun from anything like the craftables to pure accidental genius happenstances >.< My fave of all time was getting a bunch of engineers to play rocket boot snooker. This involved launching yourself from the ledegerdomaine lounge balcony in dalaran and trying to pot yourself into the well ! Happy days!
My favorite memory in Warcraft was back in 2007. I was running Sunken Temple a little under level as an undead rogue and was grouped with a random PUG. We got to the Shade of Eranikus and got her about a quarter down in health. All of a sudden, our healer went down and we began to quickly wipe. I was the only one left in the group and I was continuing to fight for all I had. Somehow, and to this day I am not sure, I was able to solo the boss and still remain standing. After everyone ran back to the instance, they sang my praises and allowed me to take all of the drops even though I didn't need them. I grabbed a screen shot and still have it to this day. That is by far my best WoW memory.
