My favorite WoW memory would be the first time I joined. This was back in vanilla, before Burning Crusade came out. I was pretty much the stereotype Alliance, I had made a Night Elf Hunter and ended up more enamored by the graphics and socialization of the Teldrassil zone that it took me a month to leave the naked dancing of the closest inn. Even though I've well advanced past that juvenile stage and even switched to my beloved Horde, I like to take time to reflect on my first impressions of the game, and imagine my current characters hopping in place with melons a' jiggling to remind me how far I have come.
my favorite is finally getting my netherwing drake
In vanilla, my guild was fighting Hakkar. There was just one shaman left alive, and he Frost Shocked us to our first kill on him.
My favorite memory is probably managing to save the gold for (at the time) level 70 flight by the time I dinged 70 itself. That excess speed was mind-blowing at the time :D
The best memory of WoW I have was back before cataclysm, on my hunter. I was messing around in the Shimmering Flats of the Thousand Needles. I was with a friend messing around by the race track. As the goblins and gnomes raced around the track, I was dancing in and out of the way. I messed up, got hit, and "died" (feign death). My friend began to /cry, and I rushed to reassure him. It was a moment in which joy sweeter than completing anything that had in game value. It showed me that players are more important than stats or gear.
My favorite time in wow was spending time with the one I loved.
Sarth 3d/25. A long fight, carefully planned, rehearsed, executed. Ecstatic victory.
One of my favorite memories in WoW was when I was about level 25 in Duskwood on my first character, a rogue. I was leveling on a PvP Server and while in Duskwood one day people started yelling that there was a level 60 troll rogue in the area killing all of the low level people. I wound up running into the horde rogue while he was attacking another low level. Instead of running I ran up to try to help the other lowbie by cheap shotting or anything I could do to stop him. After the lowbie did die I started running back towards Darkshire or far enough away to stealth but the horde rogue kept following me. We played cat and mouse all the way to Darkshire, I'd stop him with gouges to get away or to help someone else get away. This was on of my best memories because I had a level 60 chasing me halfway across Duskwood because I kept getting away from him, he of course finally did resist a gouge or a blind at killed me but I will never forget my first PvP expierence!
My favorite memory of WoW was shortly after I started playing. All of my friends were already level 60 (this was during vanilla) and I was just starting... I received an unexpected in-game mail from my friend, stating that he knew I loved to fish, and attached to the mail was the Big Iron Fishing Pole.I saved a copy of that mail and kept it in my bank for years...
Back in Vanilla WoW, I was a DPS warrior. My guild went to an Onyxia raid, and with 20% health left she ended up killing off the last tank and left 10 people alive, including me. I tossed on my shield and taunted her and proceeded to tank while everyone was moaning it was a whipe on ventrillo. I managed to get her (mind you, I never tanked before). One of the two healers died with 2 or 3 other DPS. But I managed to kill her right when she managed to kill me. Everyone cheered me on for my job well done.Another would be using the claw weapons from old ZG and my Tier 0.5 gear and TANKING UBRS as a fury warrior. Yes, I managed to do so =P everyone I did it with was surprised, and it was fun!
my favorite moment in in World of Warcraft is simple. It is the day I satarted playing. I have found that the game is very calming to me and the storylines are complex, yet fun and simple. I enjoy the art, the friends and the way the game evolves.
Oh geez, I have to pick ONE? So many happy memories... xDI think I would say, it was when I first started. I got a trial account in October 2006. My 5 siblings already played WoW, so I made a character on the Roleplaying server my elder sister had made a guild on (just a dinky little guild, so she and her friends wouldn't get spammed with guild invites) and she helped me through the quests in Valley of Trials. She was probably level 5 or 7 then, but it seemed SO POWERFUL to me. xD All the people I saw running around on mounts, all the level 60s, it just seemed beyond comprehension. How would I ever get to that level? Where did people get all those cool clothes? And, good lord, how would I ever learn my way around Orgrimmar? That place was huge and confusing!I got out into the world and explored. There was so much to see! Places I had never even heard of! There was so damn much to do, I never seemed to run out of new content. I amused myself doing the noob-area quests for other races. I got my mage to level 20 and learned Blink, which helped me travel faster. I ran through Desolace in my 30s and tried desperately not to die. Then, at level 40, I tried my damnedest to save up the hundreds of gold to buy a mount and learn to ride. I never did do it on my own; someone ended up helping me out. I had so much fun making new characters, exploring the different histories and storylines for different races and zones, that I didn't get a character to 60 until sometime in BC, and didn't hit 70 until well after WotLK came out.I never got BORED with WoW, but playing anything for 4 years can make it a little hard to find stuff I'd never done before. I was extremely excited to hear about Cataclysm, and it surpassed my expectations. The "magic" was back in WoW; a new world to explore, just familiar enough to let me know it was still Azeroth, with even better quests and stories and character opportunities. (For example, in addition to the now-85 mage that started as the bitty noob in Valley of Trials guided through quests by her sister, I now have mage toons of every single race except Tauren! And hey, maybe we'll get those too one of these expansions! xD)
