I have to say my favorite memory of WoW was when I made my very first character (I still have that character too!) and experienced the world of warcraft after being an avid fan for so many years. Seeing all of the areas, prominent figures, and exploring the world as I grew was just an amazing experience that could never be forgotten.
My favorite memory in WoW is from Vanilla. Me and a few friends had all formed a guild together, with some of our other friends. We had just started raiding BWL a few weeks, maybe a month or two, before. That night, we were working on Nefarian, the endboss at the time. It was maybe our 3rd night of attempts and also my birthday. My friends had come over, we had a pizza, a few sodas, the game on the T.V. and we all had our computers, ready to raid. The raid went pretty smoothly (as smooth as it could go with 40 peopple lol), and we finally downed Nef. What topped it off was that Ashkandi, Greatsword of the Brotherhood dropped, and it was given to me, free, no dkp, nothing, agreed upon by everybody because I was an officer and everybody thought it be nice (I was the "nicest" of the 3 leaders; everybody liked me, I got along with everybody, broke up drama; in short, I held the guild together), and they felt that I deserved it, I guess.Afterwards, we all stayed after the raid, and I was given free-reign to choose what we did. We all ended up trying to zerg Saurfang, but he ended up crit-cleaving us to death, with help from half of Orgrimmar hehe. Even though we all died and had massive repair bills, we all had a fun time. Many of those people I played with no longer play, while a few still do and we have a great time, I will never forget that night. The kindness shown to me was unforgettable.
Killing Vashj the day before the big BC raid boss nerf would be mine. That was a seriously hard fight to learn and we knew that the very next day anybody would be able to walk in and clear it because of the upcoming nerf to make way for WotLK.
My favorite memory so far is back from 2009. My main was a nooby lv 80 mage and I was barely learning to raid but had already been captivated by the endless array of collectibles that the game has to offer and had my mind set in acquiring one thing: Rivendare's Deathcharger. I was so obsessed I was doing many runs per day and getting the instance limit/hour very frequently capped. I ran the place for months until it dropped on my 271th kill on Rivendare, I was speechless and froze for a moment just admiring the mount icon on the loot list. It was the first rare mount I got and so far the one that took the most kills to get, but the feeling of it finally dropping... I know many others know how it feels when the sought prize finally appears.
my greatest time in wow is when i win my first fight i was slow and was no good but to all you all that are going through the same thing hear this you have to learn you player know your player be your player learn the moves what to what and build up a combow and do it again and again till you get to know everything with your eyes close were it is and i did that and i was so happy now am one of the best how that something i will never forget it stays with me and thanks wowhead this site is the best so helpfull thankyou.
Was definitely when my first toon got it's epic mount. Almost nobody had them (4-5 months after release), and I had my profession (LW) @ max, so everyday I solo'd devilsaurs to get leather to make a piece of gear (hard to do back then i assure you) and sell on the AH (40-80 gold). Was a great feeling of accomplishment and will always remember it. That or killing Rag for the first time, we'll call it a tie. So epic it was. ;)
My favorite moment in WoW had to be when the Swift Zulian Tiger dropped for me the day before my sister's 18th birthday. I was bummed that old ZG would be gone and I was going every 3 day reset for the mounts. There it was, October 27th, 2010, the Swift Zulian Tiger dropped while soloing Zul'gurub on my death knight. I literally fell out of my chair when it happened and it is and likely will always be my favorite moment in my WoW career.
My favorite moment in WoW was when I was level 60, and we first downed Ragnaros. It was a server first accomplishment, but the time we invested in him, and the magnitude of the fight back then in Vanilla just meant so much to us. Only having a few short hours of attempts on him made each attempt all the more important, and when we finally had that one attempt that went perfectly, everyone just went nuts!
So thinking back about this actually shows me that I have a couple of favourite moments.I've been playing since Vanilla (never got to raiding there though, 56 when TBC launched) and even back then awesome stuff happened. I remember I first saw Ragnaros appear on a friends char, now that was epic back then.My favourite TBC moment would probably be me and my guildies setting our first steps in The Eye, or TK as it was often called. I was a priest back then, and one of the few of the server heavily favouring spirit and using the CoH spec. I was talking about spirit and named some ammount, I can't recall what, but I think it was 700 or so with procs up. I remember the silence on vent and suddenly our lead heals asked: "You have HOW much spirit? I'm not even at half of that!".My favourite WotLK moment would be killing the LK for the first time. We had being going there for about 2 weeks, trying out different setups, and we finally seemed to have a holy paladin who could reliably come. Except, he sucked. So that night, we enter phase 3 and he dies to the first spirit wave... Our 2 other healers picked up like champs and healed the rest of the fight flawlessly. :DCata doesn't have too memories yet, though killing Maloriak Heroic was a big milestone for me and my guild. But really, the favourite moment of all, was me and my aforementioned friend taking his chopper, all the way from Wyrmrest Temple, to Dalaran, into ICC, to the Citadel, Scarlet Onslaught, down the coast to Shozalar Basin, where we found some waterfall to get inside, through the waygate to Ungoro, through Tanaris, Thousand Needles and the Barrens. After that we took the boat from Ratchet to Booty Bay, hopped on the chopper once again, and ended our journey in the King's Palace in Stormwind. This all happened somewhere during 23:30 and 04:00 after our first Halion kill :D.Coen
My favorite memory was at the end of TBC. Me and my buddies were up all night and gank people instv. Good times ..Who hates not being killed in STV while leveling?
My favorite wow memory would probably be getting my first ground mount at level 40, and spending every bit of gold I had earned and saved to train for riding and buy the mount.
