I've always preferred the caster/healer types, no matter what type of rpg I've played.
Rogue, every time i can. I love sneaky characters that are forced to use cunning over strenght. And, yeah, backstabbing people and watching their rage is the best thing EVER.
The mage type, usually, except in wow where my melee dps are my mains.
I prefer caster / healer over other classes.
I usually play a damage-at-distance class: either a ranger or caster. I usually play solo, so it works well for me to be able to pull and kill my adversaries one by one.
Pretty much always a cleric or paladin. My longest old school rpg character was a cleric of a god of war. My main in WoW is a Holy Paladin (with Retribution off-spec). I spent a lot of Wrath trying to play my mage more, but I kept going back to the paladin. Though I will level one of every class in any game so that I understand how they work on a basic level and get to see the whole game, I almost always end up spending most of my time with the same type of character.
I almost always go for the warrior, preferrably with a dual wielding specialization. I think it's still in my blood from Diablo II, where I played countless barbarians over the years, and I always end up dual wielding. Should I not have that option, I usually go for the darkest and most evil sorcerer availible.
Mage, or whatever is close to him. Sometimes I play ranger, but my first character is always caster.
My most recent RPG i played was Skyrim of course, where I chose a caster. I usually prefer them for their healing capabilities in conjunction with strong offensive spells, as long as they are not too squishy!
Fighter
I enjoy being melee with a sword and shield in RPGs (though not necessarily MMO's). I don't know why exactly, but there is something about blocking and then countering attacks that feels fun and engaging to me. I also sometimes throw some magic in there, if a game allows me to utilize it without giving up melee related abilities or prowess.
I generally play the stealthy rogue sort. Except in WoW!
In the demo I went with a Rogue type set up, because that sounded pretty niffty and fun.
Hi,I find myself tending to be a paladin in every RPGs I usually play in. The thing I like, in this type of character, is that you're able to heal and/or assist your brothers in arms or deal damage upon your enemies to take them down even faster. With a paladin like character, you can choose to be directly in contact with your opponents in melee, or, choose to stay back and help your teammates with your blessings and holy spells, this is something awesome. Smiting my foes with holy power and heal my injuries with sacred spell. The very history of the paladin is something I really enjoy, a disciple of Light, who takes the power of heaven to both heal and fight. This is a background you can improve so heavily, not to mention the role play, the very key of every RPG.Is it a caster ? Is it a warrior ? No, it's a paladin ! Glory for hybrids !
at first i always roll a rogue/ archer class cause its how i like to play, being sneaky sneak or aiming for the perfect shot with an arrow or bullet giving the rpg type :Pif the game is good that makes me want to keep replaying ill take up a tank / fighter class but for the life of me i cant play a caster class it get too boring for me lol even if im hurling gigantic lighting bolts out of my arse >_>
