I always play the darker class. Warlocks, Death Knights, Witches, Dark Wizards..."Let darkness guides us!"
Crowd Control when I get the chance, tank otherwise (same thing in some regards).
Warrior. Always warrior.
Rogue/stealth classes when available... otherwise sword/melee dps classes.
I usually end up playing some cheaky class, which often means somekind or rogue. Which meant when I started SW:TOR I ended up with a Shadow Jedi counslar, which is bascially a rogue class with very simular abilites. Guess I just like the quick in and out of combat and bandit gameplay.
What I play depends on the choices I have available and the play-ability of them. In RPGs I tend to prefer to be ranged because dodging incoming attacks is typically viable unless they have heat seeking missiles or magic missiles. In oblivion I found myself playing a mage who wore light armor and used her bow for only the first few hits until she was discovered. In Skyrim I found myself playing as a bow-wielder who likes to fus ro dah people away when they get too close but that was until I learned the game enough to figure out where I was going to take my mage first. As for Reckoning, I played their demo last week I think (on steam) and I enjoyed the quick taste of melee, magic, and ranged I got from them but the one that I liked the best was melee, which is odd for me but it's not the first time I've preferred melee to the other choices provided. Risen was the most memorable time I chose to go with melee (although I did keep a bow on me to lure things in my direction) because of how their combat system worked with the parries, blocks, and side steps. But typically I find myself without a lot of options for melee or more interesting options elsewhere.I'm hoping that Reckoning is as good as the demo looked, I had fun in the little time I had with it.
I believe this game will be the RPG game of the year. I will play a melee combatant character and become a Warlord.
I love being a melee class, usually warrior/barbarian type. Love being in everyone's face when I smash it.
I play stealth characters and rogues, although in KoA a Might/Finesse hybrid looks really fun!
playin' warrior type all the way: Warrior in WoW, War Barbarian, some time ago played as Templar in Aion. also love fire specialized spellcasters :)
I usually end up as a caster cause I love the big fancy spells! Although if a game had great stealth mechanics I do really like being a sneaky snake.
I really like to play duel wielding damage dealers. I just finished this demo on ps3 and loved it. Will play it again and try different characters. Thanks for a great giveaway.
Since I usually blow chunks at playing melee class I usually stick to damage dealing from a distance. That would include both hunter and mage class types. Of the two, my favorite is hunter because there are usually pets included and pets are quite nice companions when solo questing. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
