I generally play a healing type caster and let other people (or AIs) do the smashy smashy >_>
I always play a Paladin or Templar when I can. It is not might that makes right, but rather a just cause that does. Unfortunately for my enemies, I have both on my side.
This post was from a user who has deleted their account.
I usually play a tank or healer if applicable because I like to be in a role that is the most useful, otherwise I play pure-melee classes
I am usually a magic user, however, if the game allows I will create a melee mage. It's awesome being a heavy armor magic user and still getting into peoples faces swinging a sword and throwing lighting or fire balls at people.
Rogue. I play all classes but rogue is where I really live. Moving stealthily, planning how to get in and out, winning as much by cunning as by the amount of damage dealt...
I always play a melee. Try to not be the tank, but will be if there is nothing like a rogue(which is rare)
I'm usually a warrior for my first play throughs. I then usually try thief because i conveniently forget I like thief/rogue type play the first play through. Never really can get behind mages in RPGs.
I play either stealthies or casters ... on the rare occasion that there's both I'll play it :P .... I've always been a fan of the Illidan Stormrage-esque DW Rogue-like casters hence why I find games like oblivion and skyrim to be the veritable end-alls of RPG gaming .....
I usually play Rogues in most RPGs. I like the idea of sneaking around, making items "vanish" from rooms and stealth killing my opponents. There is an exception to this however: in World of Warcraft, for some reason unlike all other RPGs I've played, I just can't do a Rogue. In WoW, Paladin is my class of choice; tanking spec preferably.
I usualy play close combat class, such as warriors.
I tend to lean more towards dual-wield or non-caster long-range melee. It can be quite fun, especially if the bow/gun physics and aiming is realistic with just the right margin for error.
I prefer quick, dual-wielding melee classes, like a rogue or a fighter.
Classes that have pets, especially classes that are close the the Necromancer class in EQ, which was my favorite back in the day.
I normally go for the magical caster type, standing on the distance and making a lot of damage:D
