I always pick the ranger type class whenever I play a rpg game because I simply love how it presents itself, whether it's a thief type class or an archer, it doesn't matter I just love playing them.
Warrior all the way! always fun to be in the fight.
Tanks. Over and over again. It must be the high survivability. And not having to depend on mana.
I prefer to play a ranger or hunter. Any sort of ranged Melee does it for me.
I always play DPS. I love playing a hunter, but in WoW I can't get away from my feral druid!
I generally play healers or melee class characters rogues are probably my favorite.

I enjoy playing all roles (not all at once of course xD) althow i lean more to either a ranger or caster. But it feels good to be melee as well and hearing the slashing and crashing of you sword and shield and hearing the agony of your opponent as you break one of his limbs! =D
I enjoy being a jack of all trades. Usually the person that can help out the crew evenly. Weather it is grabbing attention from that nasty orc, or fixing up a salve to mend your wounds. If that is lacking, I am the quirky assassin. Dabbling only in mage arts as required, prefering blade and deception to a brute approach.
If the game allows it, I'm a spear-throwing amazon! If not, I usually play the ranger. Funny thing, as I loathe playing ranged in WoW.
I'm always hunter/ranger/gunslinger because i love to be at range, but don't use spells. The last rpg i played was skyrim and used only my bow to complete it (as soon as i got a bow).
In games like these i normally do the same thing. I will play through the game two or more times. The first time i play though i pick the class i'm most interested in. Normally its a 2h melee class. The next time through i play whichever class will become the most powerful. During this throughway i try and 100% the game.
