My first character in any RPG is a thief/rogue class.
A Rogue type class if I can't mix classes, otherwise I like to summon minions to do my dirty deeds for me while I hide in the shadows randomly shooting arrows/magic/Bad Things into the skulls of my enemies.Stealth and minions, you can't go wrong when it's someone else getting stabbed in the face.
Mage or healer
Usually an agile class, which is not defined by it's strength, but for it's quick moves and clever reactions, and which also usually has the ability to be imperceptible and can infiltrate and murder fast and silently.

If I have the choice I prefer to play as a support character like a bard.
always a rogue, more like a con man than a thief or assassin though
I almost exclusively play mages/spell casters that use elemental magic. I'm not too fond of the dark and evil types of magic (IE, necromancer), but rather 'pure' magic such as pyromancers.
I usually play a caster in RPGs. I like to have the ability to blow stuff up!
I usually opt for an ironclad melee class. And in single-player games everyone is a rogue/thief by default, grabbing everything they can get their hands on >:)
I always prefer to play a caster and usually end up steering towards the healing side of it.
I most commonly play casters: Wizard, sorcerers, priests, etc. It all started with D&D; I tried a warrior, and didn't like it. Tried a sorcerer, and I haven't played anything since, in any game (with the exception of WoW, where I have my hunter). I'm not sure what it is about the casters that I like so much. Maybe it is the fact that I can stand away from the fight and get a real analysis of the "whole picture," as it were.
Usually I play paladins, as I like the idea of a melee class with healing capability and do tend toward the shining hero playstyle. :)I guess I'll have to see how the mixed classes run in Reckoning. Looking forward to trying it out.
I prefer classes similar to Paladin. Heavy shiny plate armor and the ability to call upon holy powers to smite my enemies or protect my allies! Keeping my reputation high and being a hero for honest people around the world was always my priorities when playing an RPG.
Healer :D
Well I would go with a melee class,so I that will be a warrior for me.
I'm usually attracted to sinister spellcasters - warlocks, summoners, inquisitors, clerics of dark gods, etc.
I tend to lean towards casters. For as long as games have had role choices I always remember the caster being my first choice. Lately I have been branching out, but I'll always love my casters.
