Usually a rogue or ranger type class
Rogues (assassins/archers) are always my first play through in each and every game.Hit from rang and being stealthy is a greath thrill for me.
An archer if the mechanics are decent, like in Skyrim. Otherwise, some sort of paladin or templar.
Not including WoW I tend to gravitate towards the Archer/Hunter type of characters. I can be pretty damn good with a bow!WoW introduced me to a new type of style I absolutely love though; Melee. Chose Paladin one day even though I was CERTAIN I would hate it. Ended up falling in love with the class and it turned into my first/only lvl 85 character.
Usually hunter/ranger types, but recently leaning more towards rogues.
I usually play a stealth class in RPGs. Way back when Ragnarok Online was my first MMO, I started as a lowly Thief. VERY VERY slowly worked my way up to Assassin and I loved every second of it. Obviously I'd make my first toon and only main I've ever had in WoW, a rogue :)
I started off playing rogues, since it allowed me to stealth past a lot of trash. But as of late, I've gravitated towards tanking classes.
It's Megaa, i usually play the warrior type plate wearer 2h sword user meatgrinders, since WoW has DKs i prefer that because of the magic they can use.
i usually play a rogue type character with some CC from spells if there is any or try to get some healing spells as well
In single player RPGs, I tend to play thieves. I like to be able to see as much of the game as possible, to map out my route, to plan encounters, and to get the loot. Killing mobs is secondary. In MMOs, because of differences in playstyle, I usually play ranger style characters. It gives me the same functionality (good at soloing and CC), but allows for the fact that MMOs are not structured to allow rogues to bypass content.
I almost always play a ranger/hunter type character. I do not do melee. Tried it but kept backing up away from the mobs. :)
I tend to gravitate toward rogue type classes for first playthroughs in RPGs. It gives me the opportunity to learn the game in an interesting way and then come back a second time to nuke the holy crap out of it as a magic user :).
