I really loved the new raid lockouts that sounds just awesome
i'm looking forward to a release date
Path of the Titans: Removed!Blizzard has scrapped the entire Path of the Titans progression system. As it is, it may be coming back—but not likely./likeMedium Glyphs & glyphs lasting forever:/likeGuild Advancement & Guild ReputationFirstly, the whole guild currency idea has been scrapped./like. I don't care for my guild to stick out by doing achievements. I'm in a guild that barely runs anything, and when we do, it's just for fun or to test each other out. Guilds will still stick out when they've accomplished feats such as Realm Firsts and downing raid bosses. Glad they're doing away with something that was going to just be another way for people to explain their leetness. Guild LevelingThe whole guild talents idea has been scrapped as well./like. This seemed to be a nice implement until I started to think about it. Guild leveling would require players to participate. I can't speak for all, but I know that my realm and guild both have players who won't show up for raids when scheduled and when they do, they disconnect and are useless. Plus, a guild isn't a player, and since everyone plays in their own unique way, guild talents would never be settled and always disputed.New Guild InterfaceLiking the idea of searching in your guild for different proffesions. It sucks to always try to find someone to craft or enchant something and you never find them. This is a nice idea, but probably still needs some work. Like the idea of a News feed, but it may take away from guilds who have a registered website, since it seems about the same thing. Guess we'll see, eh?Raids10-Mans and 25-MansYou guys already know that Blizzard is planning to consolidate 10-man and 25-man raiding into less of a difficulty setting and more of a playstyle choice. This, I'm actually undecided about. I like the idea of making 10 and 25 man encounters very similar in difficulty. 10 mans seem way too easy after about 2 weeks after they're implemented and usually have decent, but inferior gear. 25 mans seem to me, like 10 mans, easy quickly, but they provide better loot. I like the idea of doing either 10 or 25 man, getting the same gear, (more in 25 man). Sharing same lockout is going to kind of suck, since I always do pretty much every raid twice weekly on each character, 10 and 25 man. "Downshifting" sounds simple enough, and I'm sure it has its advantages, but seems kinda unneeded. I actually like the current raid setup. If it aint broke, dont fix it? Raid LockoutsRather than being locked into a particular raid ID, you can now join any raid, as long as it doesn't have any bosses up that you have already killed. Eh, like. Makes getting back into a raid easier. Positive and Negative tho. This'll make it easier to get back to where you were after a group is failing, but seems to me, it'll make more and more people feel comfortable with simply leaving a raid when it doesn't meet their very high-standards.New ZonesStormwind- I play Horde, so don't care much about Stormwind. From the vid, it looks like it did take some damage, tho.Orgrimmar- All I can say is, "Bravo Blizzard!" Horde now has a nice military installation for a major city, me likes. The looks is so nice, I almost cried. I like the changes to the districts and the entrance into Azshara. The Bastion of Twilight- * Final (non-optional) boss: Cho'gall! <~ This is possibly my favorite part of the whole post. I'm down to slay an Ogre-Mage boss from WoW Lore.Skywall- Dal+Ulduar+Clouds... Sounds amazing. I'm ready to see some stunning artwork in place here.Deepholm- I don't know why, but when I think of anything underground and cave-like, I think Wailing Caverns.(And that's a bad thing) Hope it looks good though. I'm mad the Horde ship crashes, but then again, Goblin engineering aint the best :PUldum- To be honest, I've wanted to know anything I can about this place since I first stumbled upon it when wandering Tanaris. From the pics, it looks somewhat like my fave Vanilla raid, AQ. Let's hope this place answers some questions. The Shimmering Flats is mostly submergedHaha, finally. I hate Shimmering Flats >.>The Forsaken are coming into their ownAbout time, gawd.Cross-server raiding still hasn't been solved.Ugh... one day. I can finally stop PuG'ing with the bads from SpinebreakerThere will be more Algalon-style encountersFor the L33t of heart. The current heirlooms will stop growing after level 80. There will be a whole new crop of heirlooms for Cataclysm. Eh, that kinda sux. I guess it'll slow people down from hitting 85 the first day tho, which takes all the fun from the rest of us anyway. By the time Cata comes around, my toons will be geared enough to do the quests for 80+, plus quest rewards will probably fill the gaps. Goblins and Worgen will be able to start using heirlooms immediately at launch. Hmm, guess that means Goblins & Worgen WILL be implemented as soon as Cataclysm launches. I was scared there for a sec.Cataclysm has over 3000 new quests. Hmm, we all knew there was going to be alot of quests. Considering it's going to take alot of xp to get from 80 to 85, I'm suprised it isn't more. Looking above, people are complaining about this number. First off, you act as if you're going to do all 3k+ right away. Plus, it's not said if they are quests as simple as 'Talk to Guy here, then go to here and talk to Guy w/ Face' There could be quite a few long chain quests, that are very interesting and fun, leading to some very nice rewards. Second, there's going to be patches for content at some point after Cataclysm launches. There will be more quests implemented, I'd stake my life on that. Make due with what we're given. It's going to work out. Gawd, who likes to quest anyway?
It's epic :D
Some of these raiding changes sound really stupid to me. Downshifting a 25-man into two 10-mans. Ok, how many 25 man guilds do you know that run with 4 tanks and 6 healers all the time? Using the current content as a model, for a 10 man raid you need 2 tanks and 3 healers. For a 25 man raid you need 2 tanks, 5 healers. Do see where the problem is in turning a 25- man into two 10-mans? Ok, for some encounters you might need 3 tanks, and many guilds run with 6 healers, so assuming all the tanks and healers show up, you're still going to be short a tank for a second 10-man group. I'm also confused about this "50% more loot" for 25 mans. "It was strongly hinted that this extra loot would come in the form of Emblems." Does this mean that the extra loot is just emblems? Is this extra loot the same stuff you could buy with emblems from the vendor? Either way, it's stupid and it's not an incentive for anyone to go through the trouble of making a 25 man raid when they can make it a 10 man for the same loot. Look at the current weekly raid quests. Does anyone pug a 25 man Malygos weekly? It's hard enough finding 9 people who don't lie about knowing the fight on 10 man, imagine trying to find 24 people. It seems to me like Blizzard really doesn't care about 25 man raids. People raid 25 man today because of the exclusive loot you can only get from a 25 man. I guess some people raid 25 for the social aspect. You can still get that social aspect from the ten man, right? Right! Hmm... I seem to have misplaced the MM part of this MMORPG. Has anyone seen it? Stands for Massively Multiplayer.
