Oh crap, MM hunters suck now :'(
They're keeping Thrown Specialization? For $%^&'s sake I thought they were dumping the useless stuff.

Blizz quality standard.. The UI graphics is in the prototype state, right? The former one looked nice.
Well this sucks.
I can't stop agreeing with those who dislikes these changes. Please blizz, simplifying everything isn't the answer... making less buffs stack (battle shout was being changed to be equal horn of winter and strenght of earth iirc), defence and spellpower being removed, and now the talents being reduced to... this? the long talent trees included plenty of "useless" talents that were required anyway. 5 % extra damage aren't useless, but it FEELS that way when you place points in them. Yet I prefered that to having LESS points. What they are doing is removing something wow is lacking already - Costumization. Why make it so you have even fewer choices when making your build? Usually, builds have like 10-15 points to spend "where you prefered", but with this, it seems like the choices are being watered down considerably. and only getting 1 talent every 2 levels...? wait, okay fine, let the talent tree stay like they are now, but give us 1 talent per level, to a maximum of your current 41 points. finishing your talent tree at max level always seemed weird to me. Would really prefer running out of more talent points at 50, than getting 1 point / 2 levels :/ just my opinion at least. Bring back a bit of complexion in wow. simplicity is good - but right now they are crossing a boundary from simple to stupid imho.
I sincerely hope this new talent system does not make it into Cataclysm. Now we have less choice than before, being forced to spend points in one tree. The talent trees are too small, I like them as they are, large, slightly complicated, useful. The new trees just plain suckAs stated before, this is not just simple, this is so simple that it seems like they are insulting me because I do not have work out anything for myself. Not to mention I can no longer put a decent amount of points into other trees to add a bit of diversity and make my talent builds better. I have played every class in the game to level 80 and when I look at it now I seem to find that I like every talent tree at the moment better than the cataclysm ones.To put it simply: I hate it in it's current state. There, now that I have gotten all that out I feel much better. And yes I know the builds will probably change heaps in the near future, but I still do not like this...
I really don't understand or like the new 31 point trees. Didn't they say they wanted to make the trees less cookie cutter and more flexible? With 31 points in a tree, they're going to be cookie cutter because 1-3 talents won't have any point in them. For instance, I made a straight shot to Metamorphosis with only spending those 31 points, and 3 talents were left empty. That doesn't allow that much choice at all. One thing I do like, however, is the specializations.
now as said a few posts ago, I dislike this talent tree, but you missed something. you CAN put points in more than one tree, but they aren't unlocked before you take the 31-point talent (or something like that - they can be unlocked) there are good things about it, and being restricted till you choose the highest tier talent isn't really a restriction. I hate it, but let's not make it out to be worse than it actually is. I really like the maximum of 3 points per talent compared to the previous 5, and I can't name 1 bad thing about that design choice. I raged a lot in my previous post, but taking a deep breath before looking at it again can help make it look better. Regardless though, this better not hit live... But knowing blizz, it probably wont either.
