I have been a die-hard Mage since Vanilla, and though I have a strong nostalgia for the early tiers, I never quite fell in love until tier 8. Sure it's bonuses were rather generic; but the raid in which it acquired and its aesthetics outdo all tiers before or since in my opinion. One of the most obvious features observed with tier 8 was the fact that it did away with the classic robe, a staple in every tier save 8, but the iconic robe also carries with it a sense of vulnerability and frailness; but tier 8 introduced a new style for Mages. We actually looked really cool. I mean, really? Who wears a dress into combat? If you were about to take down an Old-God, you would want something a little more mobile, no? But even though this tier is functionally more logical, it is also simply the best looking Mage tier for it's uniqueness.Ulduar quite frankly was the greatest raid of all time in regards to mechanics, story but most importantly the sheer amount of atmosphere and awe one experiences there, and that only added to the awesomeness if this particular tier.
I'll never forget the day I got the last piece of my Felheart Raiment (Warlock Tier 1). Sure it's not the best looking set out there, but I'll never forget the sense of accomplishment that came with it and then proudly spending hours dancing on the mailbox in Ironforge showing it off and enjoying as people just stopped to admire. I then got full Tier 2, Tier 4 and Tier 5 and haven't had a full set since, but I don't think had the meaning of the first set.... I wish I still had it today. Those were the days.
I'd have to say that currently I like this tier 11 epic gladiator equipment. The blues were blue like my favorite hockey team and now the epics are all green like my favorite football team. Being Buffalo Sabres and NY Jets. i guess its a silly reason for an older player but the green pvp epics w/ gridiron football fav colors works for me. LOL. On other hand though I had to turn off the cape, why its red makes no sense to me. Maybe the arena level 2200 is red but i heard no difference in stats so never kept up with it.

My favorite tier gear is Priest because of the badass collar.
Either set of Priest T5. Still one of the most iconic item sets.
I hope I left this in the right place. I really need a new computer.Anyways, I liked t9 best because ToC has been my favorite raid so far.
My favorite Tire has to be tier 8, i love the set's belonging to most classes :3The warlock and priest (my main & main alt) i love, the priest set is my favorite for the class! I actually like quite a few warlock sets though :P
My favorite has to be the Tier 1 Druid set. Very distinctive head gear coupled with it being the first set I ever got. I still have it in my bank and can still remember killing Rag for the first time on the server.Good times.Narc
My favorite is the feral druid t10 set. I didn't start raiding until ICC, so it was the first tier set I got. It wins for me because of the fun I had getting it.
My favorite was the Vestments of Absolution, Priest T6 Set. To make a class set truly unique it should reflect what the class stands for, and the hollowed sacred feel I get from this set fits the priest like a glove. Nothing comes close or has come close since.
Mage Tier 5, Tirisfal Regalia. Strong ties to Medivh and lore, and all around a classy look.
Gotta say, my all time favorite was the T5 Hunter. Not only did I love the look of the shoulders and the head, but the 2-piece bonus was RIDICULOUS! I still have the set just in case I never get my spirit best and I still want to solo content. Plus, those shoulders were BA!
warlock's T5 as well as the mage T11:warlocks due to the wings as well as the head piecemages due to the fact that it's completely wicked, twisted and sick looking i personally wouldn't wanna mess with someone who looked like that
Tier 5 is my all-time favorite. Mostly the rogue set (Deathmantle) because it looked more rogue-ish and ninjaery.
I'm kind of partial to the look of Death Knight T11 gear; it just looks so imposing and deadly. Just as a Death Knight should.
There will always be a special place in my heart for T4. My first raiding experiences, but they also looked so...epic.
I do think that early tier set were awesome and better then the last ones (warlock t5! amazing!) but I only started playing during late wrath of the lich king. So I grew fond with those tiers, since I could see people with them everyday, in Dalaran or at the Argent Tournament, while the older ones were just photos I saw on the web. That been said, I always loved Shaman tier 10 set. All the models were great, but I preferred the 264ilevel version more. I especially liked the Head and the Shoulder, they were very shamanistic and fitted with Icecrown enviroments aswell. It almost made me want to roll a shaman (which unfortunately I didn't.. yet :P)
