Tier 4 Priest. That purple collar was so smexy :)
I like the new resto druid T12 set ..it helps alot with healing in dungeons/raids :)
Hunter T10 was my clear favorite, I got into raiding post BC so i started with Tier 4, never really found a set that i liked as much as T10. The helm was pure awesomeness. So spiky and dangerous looking.
I'd have to say lock T8, looking just like the forsaken that plague bombed the alliance and horde at the wrath gate.
I'd have to say my favorite is the druid's t5 (Nordrassil) especially when coupled with the staves that have flower effects. But the priest t5 (Avatar) is in close running, I consider it very iconic for priests and was pretty surprised to see some trolls in the new Zul'gurub and Zul'aman wearing it. The fact that it has come back again over 6 tiers later shows others probably think it's iconic, too.
Rogue T5 was awesome. THE SHREDDER. Warlock T5 is also basically THE defining set for Warlocks as well (T6 was god awfully hideous).
I have to say my favourite tier of all time has to be a tie between Priest T5 and Shaman T6. I've felt like both just capture their classes so well. You have the awesome angellic shoulders of priest T5 and lightning swirl vortexes of shaman T6, what's not to love? For me all tiers (as I'm sure with many people) it's all about the shoulders. If the shoulders capture my heart, I'm more liable to love the set on the whole. If I had to choose between the two above mentioned though I'd probably have to choose the shammy T6 for sentimental reasons. I worked so hard from a nothing raider in B.C. from a guild barely able to clear Gruul and Mag to a BT guild working on Sunwell. Those shoulders were a badge of honor that I carried proudly throughout Shattrath, and into early Wrath content. I was sad to see them go. No shaman tier has yet to capture my heart the same way T6 did. T10 came close with shoveltusk awesome, but I'll always cherish my T6 set till WoW endtimes. If I ever quit for real, I fully plan on logging out in my BT/Sunwell gear with pride--it's a set that ought never be forgotten :D.Chainheals for life.
Favorite set so far has been Death Knight Tier 7. It was my first tier set, and by far the most badass we've had. Beats demon Burger King.
Well my sets probably have to be rogue sets in vanilla(Sadly, cata rogue sets are bullS).I'll pick Bloodfang. That set was the most awesome set ever created, from visual to set bonuses. At the time of vanilla (played a little, just watched my bro and other people play it, since I was like, 10-11 years old :P ) rogues were like my favorite thing to watch. I played my brother's level 60 rogue and man was it fun. And then I discovered my first rogue PvP video. After the first one, 10 more came and so on and so on :D.Now when you watch how these people (Grim,Niar,Meandro etc) kick peoples ass non stop with that gear, well...you'll start to love it :D
Priest Tier 2 (Transcendence) and Paladin Tier 2 (Judgement). I think it's mainly due to the fact that I felt like a real raider while wearing Transcendence. Pally Tier 2 just looks so awesome. It would be cool if they remodeled Tier 2 in general - just not how they did it in BC and made it look silly. Purple pally T2? Gross.
Tier 10 Death Knight... I'm not even a Death Knight, but I was jealous of that set.
I think Tier 3 worked best for item set abilities for rogues all the gains you get from the set were pretty decent and not only made it worth while to get it also made you appreciate it more cause of the hard work and effort you did to get it.
