Since the dawn of WoW to the the Cataclysm one zone has stayed true to my heart, even as an alliance player, Mulgore, in the day the plains are bright and full of life and at night the full moon over the plans has to be the best place in wow imo, had a screenshot of the moon over the plans as my desktop for years <3 Mulgore
Favorite zone is human starting one, Elwyn forest! so many memories from the first days of gaming :)
It would have to be nagrand during TBC, Such a peaceful and beautiful map, and then BAM you get owned by an alliance raiding halaa! But i have always loved it from the questing, the different mobs, and good memories there! :)
Nagrand. Call me nostalgic, but I loved this zone when it was current, and think back to the good times every time I level an alt through it. It is pretty, filled with cool wildlife, and was a PvP hot-spot. I spent many hours here farming adamantite, sucking down air clouds, and slaughtering ogres, but I never once hated it.
I've really enjoyed the Eastern Plaguelands since Cataclysm. The whole story line there that goes with Fiona and her caravan is great. There is so many elements involved and you can tell Blizzard took a real investment into redoing the zone.
Favorite zone would have to be Vashj'ir, mostly because I find it to be the only zone that is simultaneously beautiful and unnerving. There isn't much else in the game that gives you a sense of dread quite like the abandoned reef in the abyssal depths, even moreso when the giant kraken Kolorath swims up from over a ledge and passes you by as though you are insignificant. The massive bodies of L'gorek and Nespirah as well as the large whale sharks are imposing and eerie, but the seahorses and giant seashells are a charming bit straight out of fairytale fantasy. Both add wonderfully to the atmosphere of the zone.
Best zone i think is Badlands, a lot of interesting and unique quests, and a good flow to it. where else can you save a poor dragon while giving hope to the black flight, not to mention, "I'm gonna punch that dragon IN THE FACE!"
My favourite zone is Nagrand. I remember going there when I was levelling through BC, and fell instantly in love with the panorama. Not to mention the feeling that you are on the scene of lion king when you are on the flightmaster in Telaar is epic. The view from there is just spectacular.
I think my favorite zone is certainly Sholazar Basin. Why? Well, while the obvious reasons of it being utterly gorgeous with wonderful jungle music could fill that response, it goes a little deeper for hunters. It is where we torture ourselves for weeks on end searching and searching (if we so choose to, naturally) for that ever-evasive beast that taunts us from the hasn't-spawned-yet plane, waiting to grace the real world with his presence at the most inopportune times (I speak, of course, of when we're in the bathroom, at work, school, etc, or just answering the door to find that UPS guy we KNOW has been flirting with our girlfriends...) to come back to find our target dead/tamed at the hands of another player.Yes, I'm describing the hunt for Loque'nahak. So why do I love this zone? ...Must be a masochist thing. /wrist
My favorite zone was Uldum. From a very young age, i was always fascinated with Egypt, which is the land that Uldum is based off of. The Schnottz and Harrison Jones quests were some interesting parodies/references as well.
I have to say that my favorite zone is Mulgore. This is because though my warrior has long become a night elf I still feel more at home and at peace when I take it back to the early days of leveling my toon. Though I'm blue and gold on the outside I still bleed red and black for Mulgore.
I've always loved Blade's Edge mountains. Not sure why I like it but I think its because most people do not like it.
That is without a doubt Redrigde Mountains, both before and after the Cataclysm. I have lvled the most of my characters there through my time in World of Warcraft, and my first impression of the place after the Cataclysm was; "They have finally finnished the bridge! After all my years of collecting the missing parts from the gnolls". The second was of course; "Where in God's name is Foreman Oslow?", i actually shed a tear when I saw him under that rock.
