i liked pre-shattering Stranglethorn vale. deferentially a zone that was developed with lots of care and attention to detail. especially if you are a level 29 and get clawed down by the first mob on the way, level 34+ black panther! .. fun, long dead walk too haha
Strangethron for sure. It has everything: Pirates, Trolls and treasures!
Eastern Plaguelands. Because Stratholme and Scholomance are located there. Especially Stratholme lore always fasicantes me. I remember Warcraft 3 campains about Stratholme and when i saw Stratholme in WoW for the first time i dont know how to describe my feelings but i was incredible. After a few years when WoTLK came with The Culling of Stratholme i shocked when i saw the same speech Arthas made on W3. And also Eastern Plaguelands dark and gloomy air is one of the things i like in WoW.
Sholazar Basin, for the 5 seconds of the best music in the game.
Stranglethorn is definetly my favorite zone. It is the best zone regarding beauty & quests. There are some really nice places hidden in the forest and you never know them all. There is Nek'mani Wellspring where you can find the mystical fountain hidden among the leaves. There are waterfalls everywhere and gorgeous sights on the sea and between trees. I also have some of the funniest pvp moments ever here. In Crushridge during Vanilla this was a really tough place to quest because there were pvp raids alla day long. Zul' Gurub really was a wonderful raid. If you think a moment how bare was Molten Core you can also easily figure out why a player would had been cheered up only entering Zul' Gurub. And in stranglethorn you can also find the fishing extravaganza, one of the most successful events of the game. What a bout the Nesingwary? This all is why i love that place. Always something to do in Stranglethorn, even if you sit down and watch around, you will enjoy it. Guaranteed!
My favorite zone is Hellfire Peninsula. When you don't watch out u get crushed by the Fel Reaver. And Doomlord Kazzak sees that from his thron and lols at you ^^
My favourite questing zone was easily the Mt Hyjal zone. Having followed and loved the storyline of Warcraft from its inception, I loved all the older references back to all the heroes of old, and being involved in bringing them back. Plus fighting alongside Malfurion and Cenarius was awesome :D
I'm going to go with vanilla Eastern Plaguelands. Home to the lore-rich Light's Hope Chapel, the fanatical Scarlet Crusaders, Stratholme and original anchor of Naxxramas. Everywhere in that zone, you felt the struggle and aftermath of the scourge invasion. Every nook and cranny, lurking with dread and taint. An unsettling despair blanketing the entire zone. It really held you, and you couldn't help but want to quest there in hopes you might make an impact. From battling it out with the scourge in plaguewood, to persuading Tirion Fordring to come out of hiding, to the Battle for Darrowshire, to the knock-down drag out fight that used to take place regularly at the Marris Stead. And who hasn't had a revenge murder fantasy about the "Scarlet Gank Squad"? I also have fond memories of battling it out with the scourge crystals that began popping up all over the world before The Burning Crusade launched. They were a little too much at home in Eastern Plaguelands, which made it feel all the more rewarding to purge them.
If I had to pick – which, obviously, I do – I'd go with the Howling Fjord. I remember how excited I was once I saw the original Wrath trailer, or when I read their official preview. Once I arrived, I was not disappointed; from the moment I heard the haunting, almost ethereal music, I was sold. The terrain itself is peacefully beautiful, but you're constantly aware that you're not safe here. Sheer walls of rock rise imposingly over your head or drop off uncomfortably at your feet. Ancient structures of stone whisper long forgotten secrets, while the monolith of Utgarde Keep remains as a constant remind that you do not belong. The Howling Fjord is the true gate to Northrend, where Arthas' doomed expedition first clawed their way onto the frozen soil. Borean Tundra gave the player a taste of the Scourge, but the Fjord leaves the player with a terrible understanding – Northrend itself is an enemy.
My favorite zone was Silithus, because I liked killing Cultists and bug-people, all while running the PvP event.
My favorite zone has always been Nagrand. The beautiful landscape, nice and calm background music, its just perfect.I often fly there when i have nothing else to do or when i want to come away from Orgrimmar, it really calms me down just to fly around and look at thr beautiful landscape
It has to be in Hyjal. The lake under the world tree http://www.wowscreenshot.com/image/Hyjal-Nordrassil.jpg . I just fell relaxed when i stay next to it and just listen to the theme song of the zone. Its so peaceful.
