My favorite zone has got to be the Shadowmoon valley. You get a lot of insight into the workings of the Legion, as well as some fantastic quest chains. This is where you feel the touch of Illidan the most, this is where you meet Terron Gorefiend (another awesome villain), you learn about what Guldan did. The look of the zone is also really good, the ongoing war with the infernals (this was before phasing) was really dynamic to me, and you felt the corruption. It just reminded me that I was a hero, beating back all these attempts to subvert the Outlands.
Nagrand is the best zone ever. The quests were loads of fun, and the environment looked spectacular!

I'm a huge fan of the Blade's Edge mountains. Mainly because you get to do a bunch of quests involving Rexxar, who is probably my favorite character from Warcraft lore. He is such a badass in WC3, and its awesome to see him in wow. Also, Blade's Edge looks so cool. The huge spikes, the dragons, and the fact that you can fly off the edge of the world.
Well, one of my favourite zones WAS Azshara, before the whole capitalist takeover and whatnot... :l . It still is rather pretty, with its eternally Autumnal look and all.Hillsbrad Foothils is also surprisingly beautiful, at dawn. But you've got those crabby, Forsaken Blight-freaked zombies who putrefied the whole freaking place just because they feel the need to destroy everything like angst-ridden emo kids as they sit on their little pity-pots and whine about being rotted and withered and "unable to procreate" (quoted from Sylvannas ;) ). Ugh.Anyway, my favourite zone of the moment has to really be Vash'jir, because...it's underwater.O___o[
My favourite zone would have to be Kezan. It's full of life, vibrancy and fun and the quests are great in my opinion. It's a shame you can't choose to go back at all; I feel I have to make a new goblin just for a taster of how awesome "the good ol' days" were. I thought I'd have more of a chance but no, I should've spent more time admiring the sheer craftsmanship of the city. So, if you haven't played it- play it, and if you have, play it again.-Rhelan
I love Uldum! The desert feeling was kind of a break from all the dragons and twilight cults I have to face. Plus, there's Harrison Jones in the quest line (I'm an Indiana Jones fan). Over all I would like to know what happens next to the people of Tol'vir and its lore.
Un'goro Crater - looks and dodging dinosaurs
My first instinct was to say Hyjal, being a druid, and the real impact you have on the zone is definitely nice. But then I changed my mind.My final answer is Mulgore, pre-Shattering. It was my happy place for a long time. My first character was a baby tauren, and I remember being struck by just how beautiful the zone was, the rolling plains, the vivid mountains, the bright blue skies and the peaceful tribal camps. When I was feeling stressed or overwhelmed, I'd sit down and roll up a new baby cow and just play through Mulgore for the night. It always made me feel better.A friend of mine showed me a bluff you could get to with a little mountain climbing, pre-Cata, that had a gorgeous overlook of Thunder Bluff and you could see for miles. Because of the nostalgia, that's where I logged my main character out the night before the Shattering, and that's why Mulgore is my favorite zone.
My favorite definitely has to be Stranglethorn Vale before the Shattering, especially when on my hunter, warrior or rogue. I feel like a mercenary out for money instead of fighting undead for the greater good. While I loved Northrend (Storm Peaks then Grizzly Hills are my next favorites), it did get old. Working for money was much more enjoyable.
The place that left and still leaves an impression on me is Winterspring. It's snowy all year round on the battlefront, fighting for the alliance or the horde in a team effort to gain control of the fortress. The ambiance is peaceful through the bloodshed and the music itself reminds me of dancing ice shards. When I pass through Northrend, I always sit for a moment in Winterspring and take a moment to enjoy that sweet sound that guided me in both victory and defeat.
My favorite zone is Mount Hyjal. I loved the waking the ancients quest lines along with the neat phasing that took place. The World Tree was a beautiful place to start the quests. The end battle with Ragnaros was awesome too.
I'd have to say swamp of sorrows (curse you green whelp!)
Storm Peaks I'd have to say, due to the deep underlying storyline it had involved with the Old Gods. Even though at the time it wasn't the main antagonist in the world, you did feel something wasn't right.
