Mine is nothing "special", like downing boss XY, because frankly, I do this all the time. Of course it's always something special I like to remember of, but this one is just a bit....special-er.Two hunters (my BF and I) on a PvP-server, somewhen before 2.0, Felwood. As you might remember, lots of people were farming all sorts of mats for raiding there. So the place always was busy. We spent a visit to the water elementals, in the place where the Lok'delar quest giver were. Suddently, we found ourselves surrounded by a enemy group of a shaman, a warrior, a hunter and something else I don't remember. We fought, playing very calmly, controlling whoever we could, with whatever we had, like death zoning the hunter and of course trapping. After a short while, all of them laid dead in the dirt, while both of us still were alive. We both were awed so much that we first didn't know what to say, we couldn't believe it.Sure, they probably weren't the best players, but weren't a clueless bunch of noobs either. Killing a group outnumbering us by 2 was something hard to achieve back then as hunters. This moment was so full of awesomeness I still remember it very clearly today, more than 4 years later.
I think probably my most fond memory in WoW was on my original level 60, my dwarf rogue, and finally downing Sapphiron and then later Kel'thuzad in original Naxxramas. I actually cringed at Naxxramas when they rereleased it with Wrath of the Lich King, having gone through weeks and months working on those 2 bosses alone in original Naxxramas. I was one of the thousands of players who logged off at the spot where old Naxxramas used to be before they moved it, as a bid a fond farewell to that great and incredibly hard instance.
My favourite moment in WoW was when i made my first account. I made a human Paladin and leveled it up. When i went to Lion's Pride Inn, i saw a few level 60's. I was level 5 at that moment but,I said to myself: One day, i will become one of them. I still have the character and it's an 85 now.
My favorite moment was in vanilla. I was lvl 42 and had yet to get my 60% mount but I didn't have the money for it. Fortunately, one of my guild mates (lvl 60) was leaving WoW at that time, and I politely asked him if I could get the money I needed for my mount. He mailed the money to me, and I was so happy when I finally got my mount!
My favourite memory ... when I was fighting hogger, when I thought I was rich with 1 silver, when I get a level with 3 quests, when my goal was to reach level 20 for my first mount, when I bought all my items from vendors, when I thought Goldshire was too high level beacuse everyone was dueling each other. That's my memory...
Sunwell Plateau:We had Felmyst (3rd Boss) down to around 250k HPbut she then goes into an airphase (she does the Deep Breath which causes anyone who stands in it to become Mind Controlled). Before the Deep Breath we have 22 players alive, so it's pretty much a guaranteed kill...... except the Raid Leader calls the wrong direction and everyone runs into the last deep breath and becomes mind controlled.I saw what was going to happen and managed to get out thanks to sprint. At this point I have 1 very large undead dragon about to land and try and kill me, as well as 21 members of my own raid after my blood. Felmyst lands and heads towards me (as I'm the only person on the Aggro table), so I pop Evasion and pray to, well pretty much everything! Felmyst is going down, and I'm getting a little damage (so popped a health potion), and then evasion runs out.Raid leader calls it a wipe (and apologises), as he expects me to die. I pop Ghostly Strike and manage to stay alive a little bit longer, seeing I wasn't going to survive, so use Nitro Boots to leg it to a corner and vanish..... and as I moving to the tree, she dies. Poison DoTs. Huge cheers on Ventrilo.1 Rogue vs 1 Boss + 21 Mind Controlled Players. Boss Dies. Why the memory:All that happens, and I suppose due to Karma, Rogue loot drops. However due to Sod's Law I lost the roll.Pretty much the entire guild says I deserve it, however the other Rogue refuses. Cest la vie. And as everyone knows, Skill > Gear.Still makes me chuckle....
I used to play WC3 heavily as a night elf before WoW came out. When it did, a couple friends and I tried it. I rolled a Night Elf (hunter) naturally, I wasn't really impressed by the game at that time, but I was so blown away the first time I rode the hippogryph to Auberdine. I kept thinking this must've been how it felt like in the RTS. That moment kept me from losing interest in the game. Also, I was equally excited the first time i heard there was an available hippogryph as flying mount in BC, that mount was the first thing I aimed to get, and it's still my favorite mount.
I think my best Wow moment have to be the first time a walked through the dark portal, and stepped into hellfire. My mind where blown. That was on my first char. I had really bad gear and got much better gear in like a second.
My favourite memory would be one attempt back in TBC in shadow labs, where the second boss would mind control everyone and we all ended up dead. Save me. I managed to heal through the fight long enough for everyone to corpse run as I held of against his for up to three corpse runs from the other plays due to nuking each other before they could get into healing range. When we won the fight, I had been very impressed with myself and to this day remains one of my favourite memories and personal achievements to date.
My favorite moment was definitely finding a Hyacinth Macaw on the AH for 100 gold, way back at the beginning of BC.
When I look back at how far I've come in these 2-3 years I've been playing I can't help but marvel at how far I've come in such a short time. I remember doing Wailing Caverns and being shocked when I saw Verdan the Everliving. Surely this was the largest enemy in the game! He was huge! But more recently, while leveling an alt, I did WC again and saw how small he really was. It's like how, as a child, you see some large structure and you're amazed by it. Then, years later, you see it again and it seems so, so small.
Grinding out the Netherwing dailies and proudly showing off my Veridian Netherdrake in Outland and then dive-charge bombing flagged players on my warrior. It was the best of times and kept many a player wary of the skies around Auchindoun.
