This is a more recent memory but still one of my favourites. It was a Naxxramas Undying run with 10 of our guild members all needing the achievement for our Glory of the Raider on 10man. Everything was fine and dandy and we were on Kel'Thuzad. We had already done Immortal so we were very confident with what we had to do.During our phase transition from Phase 1 to Phase 2 we were having good banter on ventrilo and thinking no problem this is going to be easy. I was the offtank for the fight and I ran off as we transitioned, we still had a couple of banshee's up because the ranged decided to switch straight to kel to get the fight over with. I decided to run up and melee one of these Banshee's and as I did, a void zone spawned underneath me, no worries as the Banshee knocked me back and off I went flying through the air out of the void zone. As I was flying through the air I noticed there was another Banshee where I was headed, I was still auto attacking from the previous and as I landed I hit the other banshee with a melee swing, this launched me straight back in the opposite direction I had just come..Boom. I landed straight back in the void zone that spawned underneath me and as soon as I landed I was instantly one shot. The silence, the groans and the sighs on ventrilo were hilarious. I let out a burst of amazement and out-rage that I was ping ponged across the room by two banshee's out of and into a voidzone and how fast it all happened.I vowed never to attempt another Undying run, and I never did.I still wish I pressed my fraps key to this day ):

My favourite moment is hard to pick out of the time in wow...But it would be my first time playing wow, i had gotten a first real frend, and i started to play as Night Elf druid, after that i started to ace english lessons, and got myself a real calling...All thanks to the game that is sayed to ruin lifes :)
My favorite WoW moment came in the summer of 2009. I am the GM of a fairly small social guild on Malygos, and that spring I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. The type of cancer I had is the most common and the easiest to treat, but it was still worrisome. Prior to my thyroidectomy surgery, I transferred the guild to my assistant GM "just in case", you never know with surgery and general anesthetic. After the surgery, the hospital stay and the initial recovery, I was finally able to log on again after a few weeks. Believe me - to a WoW junkie that is a looong time! When I finally got on to my main character, a number of the guild regulars were on. They greeted me warmly, and wanted us to all meet in Dalaran. There they presented me with the key to a chopper! Unbelieveable! They had started secretly saving and grinding the gold and the mats soon after I was diagnosed (as back then getting the gold and materials necessary was a very long term process) and by the time I was released from the hospital, they had finished.I was so touched and shocked, I couldn't say anything for a while. Then I tried to refuse the key, I told them I didn't deserve it, they did all that work and sthey hould reap the rewards themselves. Finally with tears in my eyes I accepted it. It really hit me how close people who have never even met or seen each other IRL can get playing a social on-line game like WoW. And since then I have tried to reward them in simple ways, like giving an epic drop item to the guildie who needs it most. It's kind of a "pay it forward", WoW-style.
My favorite was probably from way back in the day, getting called at 4 am by a guildie and told that Ysondre was up. 22 people running in, swinging and screaming, before the sun was even up just so no one else could get him...and you know what? We got him."The strands of LIFE have been severed! The Dreamers must be avenged!"
For me, the best memory has to be defeating the four demons, solo, for the hunter epic quest back in vanilla. Especially the one in Silithus, which I found by far the hardest. It was such a sense of accomplishment, I doubt I'll ever have another in WoW. I still keep the bow, staff, and quiver and always will.P.S. Anyone else wish they would update the staff with the 'correct' skin? You can see it on a druid just outside the Consortium town in Netherstorm, it looks alot like the bow model.
My most treasured moments in wow took place during the pre-wotlk event. I remember times when zombies would group up and plagued auction houses...those were the times when nobody actually cared about progress, people were just having fun. Which was our way of saying goodbye to BC and welcome to the new era of wotlk.P.S. thanks guys for always providing info that we desire so much.
my favorite memory, mhm. I guess that would be achieving the Gladiator title in season 1.
I was gearing myself up in WotLK and stumbled upon the Colossal Skull-Clad Cleaver and saw the comment by Sindele
My favorite memory was not a downed boss or when I leveled up.It was on a Christmas Day a 1 year back at least in WoLK when my 6 months plan came to fruition. I gathered up to 14000 gold with help and planned a Christmas Giveaway on my realm. I stuffed bank with all sorts of goodies like zepplines, shareable foods like pies, wines and cakes, pets I made my self like bomblings, gnomish army knives. You name it, I've gathered em at the time. Done all that for 6 months before Christmas comes. When Christmas Day finally came, I dressed up like Santa with suit, beard, the whole shabang on my dwarfen hunter called Anzac and rode my mechanized chopper to each city and zone as I yelled "HO HO HO! MERRY XMAS!". Whoever I met, I opened trade and gave them a random present and wished them "Merry Xmas!". To see other players /dance and /smile in delight was the best feeling of all.It was the best 6 month realm wide operation I've done. To do something different in the game and bring happiness to all on Christmas Day.The only thing I do regret was how the Horde had to miss out cos well....a dwarf can't trade with an orc.
Beating most of 25 man Ulduar on heroic (the rest on normal) for a massive achievement run on my rogue shortly after Cata came out.Idiots getting one warning to not screw up and being told to "not do or stand in X" causing the idiots that did just that to be booted and replaced with more people.Favorite moment: still in some leveling greens, beating it all from start to finish and one of the top DPS... all while I was on a laptop. And a bonus to it all: the raid leader remembered me a week after that and sold me a sweet thrown weapon for less than he was selling it for just because I did so well.
My fondest memory in WoW is that of my first raiding guild, Brotherhood of the Wolf :) We had lots of fun roaming through the caverns of Molten Core, the halls of Blackwing Lair and more. Bunch of awesome people, still in touch with several of them.
My favorite moment was when I managed to tame Loque'nahak. When I saw him my heartrate jumped up to some insane level. My brain ceased to operate properly and instead of abandoning my current pet I mounted up and went to the stable keeper. Not the brightest move there, and going back was nerve wrecking, but he was still there and after the successful tame I had to take a break, since my hands were trembling too much. A very good memory.
