Wow, after having played nearly 5 years it's hard to choose any single memory, and old ones get forgotten in face of the new ones haha. For oldest memory, taming my first pet on my hunter was so satisfying, a level 11 feral nightsaber, I ended up naming her Reina. Best newest memory I'll never forget is helping my horde guild get realm first level 25, staying up nearly 24 hours to dungeon spam, even faction changing my hunter to horde to run heroics, go go The Risen, Thorium Brotherhood realm!
My favorite memory was the first day I played WoW. A friend of mine badgered me for months to play this game and I continued to say no. I tried a trial period of WoW and have never looked back. ( 3 years ago). The first night I played for 5 hours straight and immediately subscribed. I still have my original toon that is now level 83.

My favorite memory was the war effort which had been a steady grind for both Alliance and Horde (for those who wouldn't know about it, it was a world event where everyone on a server was working towards unlocking the Gates of AQ). We had received the notice that the staff had been crafted and all the resources were gathered so it was going to happen the following day. I logged in that morning and was joined by the rest of my guild to watch what was about to occur. What we didn't count on was our Guild Main Tank falling asleep on his keyboard and accidentally heroic striking the bearer of the staff. What followed was a full alliance versus horde battle in Silithus topped off by the emergence of the AQ guardians who proceeded to wipe out nearly everyone who wasn't fast enough to hearth or jump through a portal, they then took over Silithus, Feralas and Tanaris killing everything that moved. Blizzard had to reset the server to fix itOur guild received a 15 page forum thread from alliance players abusing the hell out of us all over an accident that the Tank was sheepish about for months following the event
My absolute favorite memory is also my biggest noob moment. I was running 5-Man Arc with my at-that-time girlfriend and guild mates, and we were standing in front of Throngrin the Tender. The girl and I were having an argument about the range of her totems, so I told her to put a totem down and I'd walk backwards to show her where the range stopped...yep, I backstepped right into the boss...while the healer was eating at his desk and the other two dps were afk. He screams on vent that I startled him and he spilled Pepsi on his keyboard, screwing it up, and I wipe the group. Tons of laughter ensues. Ahhhh, good times. P.S. I was right about her totem range, lol.
Server first kill on the Twin Emps in AQ40:It is my favorite moment as we had spent weeks trying to down the basters. On the actual raid we killed them we were having a lot of DC issues. On the actual kill at 15% the tank just says: "Oh i DCed" - and you hear keyboards getting smashed over VT - Then he says "nah i'm kidding" and we finally killed them.Great memory.
What is your favorite memory from World of Warcraft and why?My best memory was when I first hit level 70. I think I almost got teary eyed. I remember the first 10 levels took me a good month. I was still starting to get use to playing the game. Everything was so new to me and I've never owned a MMORPG so everything I was experiencing was too epic. Til this day I think about how newbie I was and how many times I got screwed over or did something that was dumb like spend money on buying vendor items thinking it's some super upgrade or not repairing thinking that I broke my weapon. Good times! It took me about a good year to hit that level and the funny thing is that I choose a Hunter first which is the most easiest to level! hahaah! Here I am now 8 toons later... lol!
Back in Vanilla days, running Deadmines at lvl 20 on my 1st toon. It took like 4 hours & I was so excited because I netted like 4 GOLD!
My favorite memory would have to be when i got the Arcanite Ripper. I needed a better melee weapon so my guild took me to get that. I still love to equip it and go to Stormwind and just play the guitar. It sits in my bags waiting for a good time to use it, that time comes every once in a while.
My Favorite Memory in World of Warcraft is when Burning Crusade was the latest expansion and the adventure in Sunwell Plateau began. The countless wipes throughout the entire raid, accidental pulls, and nothing, but fond memories that are still being shared with my guild today. :)
My favorite memory is the first Winter's Veil I participated in, back in 2007. Finding all of those neatly wrapped presents under the tree was way more exciting to me than opening presents in real life at the time. I had only purchased the game a couple of months prior to that, so the whole Winter's Veil event was just so magical to me and made me fall in love with the game instantly. I try to participate in all of the holiday events now because they're so much more fun than how I spend them in real life. Sad, but true! Another favorite memory is when I was still pretty new the game and was wandering around Ironforge... a higher level player came up to me and opened the trade window, giving me a note. The note was an invitation to an in-game party, later that evening in Ironforge. I, along with a few friends attended and we all brought our own ale. Someone broke out the Brewfest Keg and everyone was sloppy drunk and dancing by this point.. then we decided to sit in a circle and play truth or dare. It was some of the most fun I've had playing with complete strangers (and a few friends).
This is somewhat silly and sentimental, but I think my favourite Warcraft memory is from last year's Fire Festival, desecrating the Alliance city fires whilst being woefully underlevelled :)To put this in a bit of context, both my boyfriend and I had been WOW players back in Vanilla/early TBC before we met, but University commitments and suchlike meant that we both kind of drifted away from the game. We live quite far apart and don't get to see each other very often, so when we got together we both started playing again as it gave us something we could do together anytime. Last year's fire fest saw us both on newish characters, rediculously underlevelled for city raiding (guards, argh!), but quite determined we were going to do it. So we decided we were getting up at 4am on a Monday morning to avoid as much player traffic as possible, and we were gonna do this thang ;) It was daft, silly, not the behaviour of rational adults, but rediculously exciting. I vividly remember the dawn sunlight streaming in my window and making it impossible to see my monitor no matter how I repositioned it :) It took us a few hours, a few bloody-hell-we're-on-the-wrong-boat moments, and a lot of corpse runs, but it was an absolute riot, and arrgh, we did it :DAnd then we actually did have an Internet Brofist moment ;)
I remember when I was leveling my human warlock. At some point I had to go to the barrens to get one of my demonic pets (dont remember which one). It was such a big challenge since, first: I didnt know where the barrens was located. Second: didnt know how to get there. Third: I think I was a bit too low lvl, so I found a guide (here on wowhead) telling me how to cross the dustwallow march. (obv this was my first char, and I had only leveled in The Eastern Kingdom)The feeling of succes when I finally got the pet was one of the greatest I have had (too bad I never used that pet again).
