We were leveling lowbies, Randomchick (myself, a Priest) and Randomdoctor (him, a Hunter and of course, an animal doc) in Thunder Bluff and our next stop in our quest was the Barrens. I told him there was a flight path to Orgrimmar, but he refused to acknowledge this, as we were tauren, not orcs. Trusting him, I agreed to take the zeppelin. We wondered if it would hurt to jump down and when we realized the zeppelin is not porting but flying over the maps all the way - as well through the barrens - we decided we wanted to save some time. We grinned at each other as the thought dawned in our minds. How bad could it be? (After all, two doctors!). We looked over the land beneath us, nodded at each other and then, suddenly, a cry of "weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" followed by a sickening *splat* as our cows became cow pies. We have been laughing so hard that we almost exploded into bananas, but that is another story. The adventure was not over yet, because our little level 10 selves landed in the middle of level 15 mobs. Ouch! After dragging ourselves away and a few wipes, one more death for myself than him, we were finally able to find our ways to the Crossroads. Success, albeit our gear's complaints! This is so far my best memory, because we simply had a lot of silly fun and my belly was hurting from laughing so hard. It's not the only memory like this, but the best because of pure silliness. What I am looking forward to in 4.2 is the challenge taming! That will be awesome and I can hardly wait.

i'd say that my favorite memory of playing world of warcraft is raiding with my paladin for the first time, downing patchwork in naxxramas and getting hit by the slime while also i got my first world of warcraft raid drop Hero's Surrender :)
My favorite wow memory was back when i started playing in 2007 and had met another player who pretty much taught me how to play the game. I don't know if he still plays the game or not, but i definitely remember him.
Probably hitting level 50 on my priest back in TBC and getting Vampiric Touch, being all "ZOGM ANOTHER DOT!" and instantly flying out to Blasted Lands to test it out on mobs.
My favorite memory from World of Warcraft is my first lvl 85. It let me know that I can get to the top if I can try very very hard. And that it is not easy. It took a good YEAR to do it. (Yes, I have a life.) Well he was 80lvl first. Maybe it was my first 80. But either way it was hard.
I believe that the most memorable moment it was when my friend and I were leveling, so we decedied to go to Ashenvale. We were doing some quests and farming materials, suddenly we arrived to the Horde post, Splintertree Post, so it was our first time meeting with Horde NPCs. We started killing them, but after a while, a horde player arrived, it was higher level than us, so killed us when we were healing ourself. After a couple of tries, we managed to kill him, but this wasn't enough because he brought some friends to kill us. We did the same, and then a mini-war game started, it was so fun doing that, dying and killing, it was way too fun honestly. Even considering were low levels we got alot of fun.
Vanilla wow was such a grind...Back then when you got a purple IT was a purple...When you got your first mount it was like a breath of fresh air..Like OMG i dont have to walk any more..When you got to level 60 and went even faster that was great...But In burning crusade Only the elite had epic flying>>>><<<<When I got epic flying I was a GOD...The rules changed I could do anything farm faster then any one gank any one...BAM that was epic you cant beat the first time you flew at 280 in BC there was no comparison...
My favourite moment was when I won the Kalu'ak fishing derby! I didn't even know what to do, the npc yelled, then I came to wowhead to check what's going on :) Then I won. :p
My favorite memory was when ZG was introduced and getting Corrupted Blood on your hunter pet! If your pet had it and you left the instance, then resummoned it in a city, it spread and spread like wildfire and there was no way to get rid of it, causing mass death and people actually creating quarantine zones in cities. It was amazing! See also http://www.wowwiki.com/Corrupted_Blood
