My favorite memory isn't even something I did. My wife and I started playing shortly after WotLK came out, me a few months after her. At the time, I wasn't much into raiding but she fell in love with it instantly. After months of hearing her cuss and rage at being outrolled on loot or wiping on Sindragosa et al, I hear this yell coming from the other room. After checking to see if there was a spider or mouse running across the floor for me to kill, she informs me her guild had just downed the Lich King for the first time. I was very proud of her, first because she was never much of a gamer before WoW and second because she didn't stick to things and usually gave up easily. Plus, her excitement made it a nice night for me as well ;D.

Besides the thrill of creating my first toon and having my son who introduced me to the game and helped me get started I would say my fondest memory is when my son in Florida and his wife, my grandson in Georgia and his wife, and me in Tennessee, all played togerther. What a great way for a family to get together
My favourite moment in WoW is collecting mounts, vanity pets, and achievement points. Presently sitting at 108, 149. and 10655 respectively. Excited about new mounts, pets and achieves. XD
I'm a bit of a griefer at heart. If someone just died in a raid, chances are I good had something to do with it. Occasionally i think it's fun to do something to intentionally wipe the raid. Anyways, possibly my most favorite moment was when I intentionally wiped the raid... without actually doing anything in game to cause the wipe. See, my guild had been working on killing heigan (in the naxx 2.0 version.) for about a month. We almost had it down the week prior before the raid was called. This week we were sure we could kill heigan. Before the raid begins I set up my computer so I can play music over vent. The dance starts... I start playing the "benny hill theme song" over vent... one by one people lose their conncentration from laughing so hard... we end up wiping...The main tank, who put me on ignore in game and vent two weeks prior, nearly ragequits. Meanwhile, i'm still laughing irl because I just wiped a raid... without actually doing anything in game to wipe the raid.
My favorite moment in WoW......The day I started playing, December 27, 2008.Why?I had never played an online game before. A friend at work had recommended getting WoW and trying it out, so over Christmas break I did. And I've never regretted it! Of course I made my NElf hunter, and I was instantly hooked, even though it took me forever to figure out what the hell I was supposed to be doing. What are those big yellow question marks? How do I turn in a quest? The first time I dinged and made level 2 I was like "This is SOOOO COOL!". The journey through the game has been great, I've met so many awesome people. And I wouldn't trade any of my time in game for anything in the real world! Well, ok, maybe ice cream, and chocolate cake. =D
My favorite memory was back before Wrath hit. I was a lowly little level 20 night elf rogue, who had some guildies that offered to run me through Shadowfang Keep. Now, this was before I had a mount, but when a boat from Auberdine went to Stormwind. I arrived in this bustling capital city, amazed at all the people with their shiny level 70 gear and mounts. What I then endured was a sort of reverse of the dreaded Wetlands run. We took the boat to Menethil Harbor, then trekked all the way through the Wetlands, to Arathi Highlands, past Hillsbrad, and into Silverpine on foot. I remember staring at these level ? raptors as I ran past trying to not get eaten. I was immersed in this gigantic world. Because of the horrible draw distance on my laptop, the Arathi Highlands seemed endless.Eventually we did make it to Shadowfang Keep, where we summoned everyone else, and got loads of laughs and loot. And that, my dear Wowheaders, is an experience the random dungeon finder tool will never be able to replicate.Edits for clarity and grammar.
My favorite moment oddly enough.. is on the 4th anniversary when you could always tell when someone logged on for first time during anniversary cuz in trade chat you'd see "wtf blizzard?. no gift? like a pet or something".. This goes hand in hand with my joy when I barely started playing (which was close to 3rd anniversary and I was barely playing a few months when we got the pet in our mail. It just amused me how people feel entitled in this game. .haha..
I still think that the quest, The Drakkensryd, is the most fun and most memorable moment I've had in playing this game. I completed it on my main more than 2 1/2 years ago but I sill remember that quest as an amusement park ride with a quest attached. Downing raid bosses is exciting but a lot of work. That moment of pure exhilaration racing through the air around the Temple of Storms and spearing proto-drakes is the one I recall most fondly.
My favorite moment so far, has to be the night Cataclysm came out. I was determined to down LK that night and I got a raid together and lead us to victory! We took a few tries then downed him! Almost everyone was like "WTF WE DIED!" But a few of us had been through it or heard about it. It was fun and amazing and I will always remember that moment!
