My favorite moment was the first time my raiding group at the time took down Hodir in Ulduar. It was still fairly new and very challenging. I was healing on my resto druid and we were at it for days with seemingly little progress being made. Then one attempt it all started coming together. Hodir's health kept dropping bit by bit; everyone was hitting their cues just right. Another percent closer, another, another. I couldn't focus too much on it as I was drilled into my raid frames trying desperately to keep as many people alive as I could. And then, all of a sudden, there was Hodir, not dead, but not hostile anymore, telling us that we had done it and we had freed him. The cheers were going up over vent and everyone was freaking out. We had done it.That to me is what raiding is all about. Striving and accomplishing a goal with raidmates and friends.
My favourite memory of WoW was the first time I installed the 10 day trial. I was a late-comer since I had played Everquest for 10 years, but I had seen the Mr. T commercial one night possibly 30 times within a two hour span while I was constantly running to get my corpse in Everquest, so I logged out, downloaded the trial and created my first character, Foresaken Rogue. 15 minutes into the newbie quest, was hit with one of the infamous Nightelf Mohawk grenades. 2 Hours later, I logged out long enough to cancel my Everquest account and purchase the full version of WoW. It's been great times ever since.
My favorite memory was (finally) getting my Baron's mount after a whopping 245 Stratholme runs. Sheesh! :)
Getting five achievements at once through the Argent Tournament was a lot of fun.
My favorite memory has to be when I got my first flying mount....I just remember flying everywhere and doing loop'd'loops all areound hellsfire pennisuala ! What a feeling of freedom...love this game !
My favorite memory of wow was the first time I saw the opening of the original Rag fight, when he first emerges out of the lava. I just remember thinking how epic that moment was and how different that boss was from anything at the time. Of course there has been MANY bosses since that have very good fight mechanics and great animations but that will always stick with me.
My favorite memory of wow was when me and my guild did some world pvp in goldshire and dominated the alliance. Then after that we took over westfall when the alliance tried to take it back xD
My favorite memory was when I was in Ambermill where I had my blood elf paladin Missnovember parked for over a week trying to find the rare Dalaran Spellscribe, who at the time was the only mob who dropped the Black Tabby Cat I really wanted for my collection. One day after about 8 days of being there and only seeing him once (already dead), I finally /target him and he was there alive! I looked frantically for him, running through the buildings, but someone got to him first and I watched his life drop right in front of me. By now I figured I should just give up and stop camping, and I was about to leave when an undead mage came out of the house and without saying a word, he opened trade, put the Black Tabby in the window, and gave it to me! I couldn't believe it! He of course had no idea how long I'd been looking for this pet, and literally asked for nothing in return even though he could have gotten 1.5-2k gold for the pet in the auction house. That mage, Vos, has since become a good friend even though we live thousands of miles away from each other. I love this memory because even though WoW is "just a game," the people playing it are real, and can really make a lasting impression. :)
5359 comments and you are giving away how many prizes? My most memorable wow moment wasn't a raid or a first..... it was staying up all night with 2 friends on vent laughing and dying while we leveled up in a new expansion, the highlight of which was accidentally slowfalling into the middle of a town for the other faction.
My favourite moment would have to be the moment when I got my Onyx Neterwing Drake. After days of doing quest my effort finally paid off and I got my very own drake. Even still today with all those new proto-drakes my netherwing drake is still my most precious (flying) mount and I still fully enjoy flying with it everywhere through Azeroth where-ever I can.
My fondest memory of WoW was when I leveled my first toon,a warrior,to the 10th level, which back then was a feat for me since I was totally noob and did not even know up to which level characters could go!
