Although I have memorable experiences dating waaaaay back to when I joined WoW and SOTC a month or so after launch, the most recent event just keeps popping (no pun in intended) in and out of my head.Magdalena, Ema and I were the hunters representing in our run of ICC 25 when a certain level 264 'hunter' helm dropped. We all were not that hot for the tons of hit on the item as we were all well over our hit cap, but we each rolled take and god forbid I won it! The funny part is if you have seen the tier 10 models for the hunter helm it is awfuly phalic looking. More or less as soon as I equiped it we saw how much it really did look like a 'unit'! We all laughed endlessly during the rest of the run and I for one had a hard time wiping the tears of laughter from my eyes well enough to see what I was doing. From that point on the three of us, who if I might say so quite enjoy each other's humor and personalities refered to ourselves as team ____ (Richard) head! Now we all laugh about getting Mag and Ema their helms so they can fully represent!
My absolute favorite memory from playing is the opening of AQ and participating in something that included more than just myself .. it was the first world event I participated in .. lagged out a few times logged back in to rejoin the fight .. it was awe inspiring to be there and be a part of such a huge event

Man, there are two questions on the page on Wowhead proper! I only see one on this page, so I'll answer that one first, but just to be safe I'll do the other too ;PBack when Bloodscalp had maybe 20 level 60s, I was leveling in Hillsbrad for possibly the very last time ever. I was partied up with a paladin who was just as fresh-faced as I was, and when we got jumped by a high-level rogue, we both ran for it but weren't expecting to survive. He DIed me in order to help me get away but we both spent a few minutes being really confused as to why I couldn't move. When it wore off—of course the rogue waited for me—I kept running. I'm not really sure why he wasn't able to kill me right off (he was probably in his 50s), but I ducked behind a tree, hoping to shadowmeld and lose him. The shadowmeld failed, but just as he re-opened on me, a rogue—wearing near-full Shadowcraft, and wasn't THAT something to see, back then!—opened on HIM, and killed him before he killed me, despite the enemy's large head start.I remember I got e-Drunk with my saviour on the steps of the Ironforge Auction House later that night.Anyhow, the optional(? :P) question from the contests page: my most anticipated thing in 4.2 is finally, FINALLY getting a chance to beat up the arrogant jerkface known as Fandral Staghelm. I've wanted to do that since my druid's first encounter with him back in beta, but I never really wanted to spend all the time and effort leveling a Horde character just to smash his teeth in, so I'm glad that now I don't have to ;P
My fave memory from WoW must be back in the vanilla days when I had finally gotten the Leaf out of Majordomo's chest in MC, and took on the quest of obtaining Benediction. Back then only Dwarf Priests had Fear Ward and all the guildies were happy that their fave knee-high priest could finally ditch Soulkeeper and get a proper staff. My rogue pal was killing mobs near the quest area to stop them interfering with the escort and two paladins came all the way to Eastern Plaguelands to buff me. Finally after long trial and error grind I got the staff and I spent the rest of the day showing it off in Ironforge.
By far my favourite memory from World of Warcraft was taming skoll, i was zipping around storm peaks looking for the time lost proto drake, scrolling over every npc i detected on my map. One neutral npc caught my eye as he was in a snowdrift at least twenty yards from any other npc. When the word "Skoll" came up on my minimap my heart skipped a beat. I had to make five trips back and forth to the stable master before i had sufficient space to tame him and when i did, i almost collapsed from the relief. Skoll, who is now known as Zàp, has been a faithful companion ever since, he is by far the coolest World of Warcraft "item" i have ever had and i wouldn't trade him for any other pet.
My favorite WoW memory was secretly grinding for weeks in order to get my boyfriend who, at the time, was stationed abroad, his netherdrake rep for the mount. After I had got all of his rep up i bought him the epic flying, and logged him out in the middle of Dalaran flying on the drake. The reaction he had when he logged in again after coming home was one of the best moments of not only the game, but in real life as well for me.
In fact I have two favourite memoriesThe first one was just after I started - I was playing an Orc warrior named Dodge (after my favourite car) and I was walking In Barrens and killing some random stuff. At that time I was thinking that the most important stat for every class was armour - so I was fully grey geared and I was pretty sure my gear is imba. Some time after I met an Undead Mage who decided to duel me. After a duel that probably continued for more then 5 mins he won. I asked him how did he managed to do that when he was like 3 lvls below me. He answered me "My gear is better then yours, you are for nowhere but WC". At that time I decided that he is trying to insult me so I ignored him and reported him to a GM - some time ago I understood that WC is in fact a dungeon :) My other favourite memory is when I saw the Time lost proto. I rushed towards it but an ugly Drenei was faster then me. So after I attacked him and got him nearly 50% down an alliance hunter came to aid him. I however managed to kill the draenei and around 1 miniute after I also killed the other ally. Just when i filled my mana and health I got ganked by a Human Warrior trying to steal my time lost. So I killed him too. Then after filling my health and mana again the Time-Lost proto despawned making me nerd rage and break my monitor :)
My favorite memory is most definitely convincing a friend of mine to run Zul'Gurub at least once with me before they removed it for Cataclysm. We were both 80s (He was a Warrior and I was a Shaman) and had never done the raid before. We were just poking around stuff and he poked something he shouldn't have and got mind controlled by Hakkar. He then promptly killed me in two hits! We were laughing our butts off on teamspeak and kept pushing through the area. We got the raptor to drop, and he let me have it since he isn't into mounts as much as I am. We never got to finish the raid together (I ultimately ended up respeccing and soloing Hakkar, while he went and did it with his brothers), but I will always remember the experience.
My favorite memory from playing WoW was when it was in the middle of The Burning Crusade expansion. When the Sunwell got released, the entire server headed to the Isle of Quel'danas to get all the quests done and open up the raid, so there was so much PvP going on. I remember people trying to abuse every angle of that place to kill people and not have the guards come after them. And doing dailies was impossible. Ah nostalgia!
My favorite moment was probably getting immortal before the nerf. After weeks and weeks of someone screwing up the 25m raid, we finally got it on the last week before the nerf
My favorite memory was when the PvP rankings came out. Every night at Terrin Mill non stop pvp action, just to prove who is the best ranked pvper in the server. We spend countless hours there, late for work the next morning just to keep the rank up so no one can catch up. Total Gankage !
My favourite memory would be my first completion of Kara.My guild had cleared it many times, so they took me on a run to get some gear. I had no clue what I was doing, done terribly in terms of damage, but seeing this great place, especially the Chess game was so scary, yet so much fun at the same time.
