My favorite memory of WoW, was of my guild's first kill of the Lich King. After weeks of wiping, on our last attempt of the night, we were finally able to push through and down him! The sound of pure joy over vent was insane, everyone was sooo happy! I doubt I'll feel so accomplished in the game ever again.
My fondest memory is most likely when I bought the Reins of the Traveler's Tundra Mammoth for my first character...... at level 40! It was a hell of a challenge to get 20000 gold on my first character who wasn't max level, but in the end it was worth it. It's still my favorite mount.
My favorite memory was when Lich King was finally released and then when I got my first kill. I have been playing Warcraft since Orcs & Humans and have loved it ever since. Thus, being able to kill Lich King brought me an amazing feeling of being part of a story I love.
Coming from more than 1.5 decades of MMO (9/4 of which were spent in Everquest 1/2) I came with the expectation of waiting weeks on end to hunt down raid bosses. My most joyous moment, aside from starting my own guild within a few weeks of play time, was downing Onyxia (vanilla) for the first time. She was my first raid boss downed on my first 60 toon. I remember getting my first piece of tier gear as I looked around at the rest of my guild mates also getting their first pieces. We did it. We came together, all fresh to WoW. A band of noobs had downed the dragon after only a few weeks of knowing each other. That day started a bond among friends that would sweep through Vanilla WoW like a storm, slaying all boss content that stood in our path.
I have been playing WoW since release and my favorite moment just happened recently! A couple months ago me and some friends decided to go down Kael in TK. We were joking around about the mount dropping and then we down him and it dropped! I was incredibly excited, because I love mounts and I have about 130 of them (A rocket added to the collection would be nice =D). We all rolled need and my friend rolled a 99 and I rolled a 96 =(. But then to my surprise my friend opened a trade with me and handed it over to me because he was thinking about quitting WoW anyway and he knew how I felt about mounts. I don't think Ive ever been happier.
I remember, about a year ago... we were doing classic dungeon guild runs on Pwntato Chips (still up on Anachronos). The GM, on his fire mage was running in and out of massive groups of mobs, placing random flamestrikes screaming IM HELPING! LOOK AT ME I'M HALPING~!also proceeding to run off in a random direction yelling: SOMETHING SHINEY~!---------------Varaheru 85 Protection PaladinPwntato ChipsAnachronos (EU)
My favourite moment in the game was when i first dinged 70 level in TBC. Back then it was quite hard for non-hardcore gamer and I worked for like a month and a half. The work i done to get there was much and i felt really nice.
Ah, my favorite memory... I've been playing WoW since very early vanilla so that is a lot of years worth of memories, but I know exactly which one is my favorite (and I even have a screenshot to remember it always). Back in vanilla BC a few druid friends and myself , a warrior and a rogue went to BRD. The rogue begged us to try for the best dagger for a rogue at the time, a Barman Shanker. Being the nice people we were, we told him we'd give it a try, but little did we know, all hell was about to break loose. One of the druids with us accidentally did the one thing that you NEVER do in the bar (at least back then), and that was to attack one of the patrons. All of the sudden, we were being pummeled from all sides. The three women in the group all hopped up on bar and began frantically dpsing and healing... the rogue died immediately, and then we noticed that the warrior (our tank) had run out of the bar and towards the beginning of the instance as fast as they possibly could, leaving the three druids to fend for themselves. How did that end, you might ask? Well, with three dead druids lying on a bar and the warrior still alive. I even have the screenshot to prove it. ;) You'll notice in the screenshot that one of the poor druids realized that the result of death was to sober up! I laughed so hard after realizing what had happened, and it's still one of the best memories I have from playing the game.Three dead druids laying on a bar.
My favorite memory in World of Warcraft would be downing Kil'Jaeden for the first time in the weeks before Wrath. That was without a doubt the most epic encounter I've ever done, the sure number of phases, the voice dialogue during the fight and the atmosphere really made you feel like you were stopping something that would have a serious and devastating impact on the world of Azeroth. No other fight has brought that sense of urgency and importance before, and of course the vent explosion once he was sucked back into the Sunwell. I would love to see a fight like that again.
My favorite WoW moment was back in the days of Burning Crusade. I was already level 70 and my wife had been leveling her mage day and night to get up to level 70 to do a pug Karazhan with me. Once she did, we grabbed a rag-tag group of people and descended into the depths of Medivh's castle gone wrong.Once we got on vent with our group, though, it when it became the best and greatest raid I've ever done. Everyone was well geared, chatty, funny, and best of all, I was playing the game that I love with the woman I love. We had such a fun time that I scarcely remember the clock striking 3am.The best part of it all is as we parted, we all swore to continue to do raids together as a group. And we still do today. We have a very successful 10-man guild that continues to raid (and have an absolute blast doing it) together. I'm glad WoW was able to bring my wife and I together to share something that not many couples can (a hobby) and to give us so many great friends along the way.
My favourite memory is progressing through ICC 10 with some irl friends. Our little 10 man made up of 8 friends and 2 good online friends we made made it to third ranked guild on the server before everything started to fall apart.
My favorite memory was the attack of Lord Kazzak in Stormwind. This memory has stayed in me because when I tried in vain to hide, at the foot of the master of gryphon, a human warrior set before me and said "Stay back, young paladin, I will finish him with my mighty Ashkandi ! ". Then, with his horse, he jumped over the water, a shadow bolt hit him in the air and he fell down in the water, like a fly. Needless to say, I never laugh so hard. However, the second that followed, i was killed too...
