My favorite moment was the first time my guild downed Hakkar in old ZG. We are a small guild and learning the fights to the point we could clear that place took us a long while. We kept the screen capture of the kill as our Website's mainpage for years.
My favorite memory was back in Vanilla. I had just hit 60! I was so excited, but the best part of it was that I got my epic mount. 100% run speed increase! It was awesome. I went to Un'Goro and ran around the perimeter yelling "Vroom, Vroom!" Silly, but a great memory.
Tough call to narrow it down to just one. I think my favorite recent memory was when one of my guilds downed Festergut for the first time. Everyone was dying left and right and the boss was down to his nilth percentage. Then the mage, that everyone said was going to be plastered and dies early actually got the killing blow. The vent channel erupted into cheers. Made the mage happy.
My favorite memory was when I completed my first raid. I was in ZG on my shaman and even got the panther hide sack. That was one of the happiest times of my life. I loved raiding with my old guild and friends from vanilla.
What is your favorite memory from World of Warcraft and why?My favorite memory was back in classic. I think it was starting of Burning Crusader.I had spared all of my gold for my mount, during the long sparring time, I had farmed the Alterac Valley Mark of Honor for Stormpike Battle Charger. When I got all my spared money thogether. I had enugh for my riding skill. It was so nice to finnaly get the 100% Riding skill. It was so lovely to show it off.I remember this so clearlty, and today. I'm still riding it today. This is my favorite memory. Because back in times It was a prestige to have 100% at max level 60.Today it's so low priced that we wont even belive it.
A few online friends and I rerolled characters as horde on a new realm, back before you could have horde and alliance on the same PvP realm, and we started leveling the characters. Two of the friends couldn't get on for a while, so the other three of us decided to just twink at level 29 til they caught up. We found ourselves wasting time in Dalaran quite a bit, and one day we all bought the paper zeppelin kits from the toy store. We had one friend run and the others of us would make the zeppelins and throw them at him one by one until eventually he had an army of little zeppelins chasing him all over the city. Along with that we hunted down hundreds of underbelly elixirs and would always have air-duels while in the firefly form. It was a lot of fun doing something other than leveling and progressions in the game, and I'd have to say that was my favorite memory.
I loved the new Hillsbrad Foothills questlines (Horde side: begin with High Executor Darthalia). I literally LOL'd several times at the savvy way Blizzard mocked the various types of people who play (twinks, elitists, etc.). The quests involving Johnny "Jenny" Awesome and the Warden Stillwater were a particular fave. I will not go into detail as that would ruin the fun. This zone also offers the Plants vs. Zombies experience. Truly a place to be enjoyed at any level.
One of my favortie memories is being level 22 running around in duskwood loving the creepy feeling of the place and "BOOM" there's Stiches out of nowhere roflpwning me.Another is doing the quest The Egg Lives On in Badlands, its a sad how it ends but the fact that a big bad shows up suprised the hell out of me
I think my best wow memory was when I was leveling my first 60, a druid leveling resto before any other spec was viable. This was in 2005. Looking for groups for dead side strat was just a long wait, but you got satisfaction when you got a group and finished it. My first molten core run was amazing as well, seeing rag in all his glory pop up, I still have screen shots of it. Second best I think would be downing Chromag and seeing nef for the first time as well, all in the same guild up until last week.I miss you Pre BC :(
My favourite moment is a toss up between two: I had recently joined a new guild and we got along famously. For my birthday they presented me with a sparkle pony! It was very touching and I was so grateful. The other one would be when we downed the LK. We only raid one day a week and we worked a long time on him but we got him eventually! It was so exciting to accomplish this with such an awesome group of people - plus it was the first time I'd ever cleared an end boss while still in that expansion.
I have a few favorite moments since I've been playing since vanilla. The top of the list goes to the battle for Undercity, was such an epic quest chain, magnificent cut scenes and excellent explanation of lore to that point of the game.
