My most cherished memory in WoW actually isn't from within the game itself, but the login screen. Before I came to Azeroth, I was an EverQuester..and in the war between EverQuest 2 and World of Warcraft, I chose EQ2. I played that pretty heavily until my paladin reached level 20, then I just stopped enjoying it. So I decided to give WoW a try! Boy, I'm sure glad I did. Memory retelling in 3, 2, 1...When I first booted WoW up, I vividly remember the beautiful CG and music. It really got me pumped. After that was over, hearing the login theme music let me know..just from it, that I had arrived! And here I am, nearly seven years later..still enjoying the heck out of Warcraft. Thanks Blizzard, and thanks WoWhead for helping me navigate these glorious Azerothian waters!
My favorite moment was back in Vanilla, when I could sit around talking with friends in Goldshire for hours.
My favorite WoW memory? Eh don't really have a favorite since there was so many. Some of my more memorable memories include when I was around level 10 (back in early Burning Crusade) and found two s within 10 minutes of each other, back then I had no idea what they were worth or even what the Auction House was. I sold them to a vendor for a few copper each (I later farmed 5 or so more once I was level 70). Another of my more memorable memories was back in early Lich King when a GM came to Ironforge and partied with the people there. Turned us into Giraffes, Maggots, and Cows, and threw up some fireworks. I still have a few screenshots (crazy times):http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i20/link2999/GM%20in%20WoW/ScreenShot_061609_185546.jpghttp://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i20/link2999/GM%20in%20WoW/ScreenShot_061609_185903.jpghttp://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i20/link2999/GM%20in%20WoW/ScreenShot_061609_185918.jpghttp://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i20/link2999/GM%20in%20WoW/ScreenShot_061609_190357.jpghttp://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i20/link2999/GM%20in%20WoW/ScreenShot_061609_190729.jpghttp://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i20/link2999/GM%20in%20WoW/ScreenShot_061609_191009.jpghttp://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i20/link2999/GM%20in%20WoW/ScreenShot_061609_191010.jpghttp://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i20/link2999/GM%20in%20WoW/ScreenShot_061609_191151.jpgBy the end of the whole thing, you couldn't move in Ironforge because of the lag :)
Has to be killing Vael back in Vanilla with only a healing pally alive at the end. He bubbled and used his Gnomish Death Ray as the killing blow. It was glorious; I still have the video saved. Thanks for the memories Foebane and Janani.
My favourite moment still is the time when i finally logged in for teh first time. I had been playimng the original beta, had experienced the end of the world, and was ready to log in for Day 1 of this new and wonderous World of Warcraft. The frustration on Day 1 as the servers were that overloaded I just could not sign up! and then finally teh next day bveing able to creat my account and enter a world that won my heart. And still enjoying the comments as people see me walkinga long witha panda cub, or a mini diablo.... :)
I'd have to say my favorite memory was hitting level 60 on my first toon. I had been so envious of all the 60s I always saw running around, doing dungeons and MC/BWL. That first level 60 is still my main to this day, I dont think I could ever shelve him.
Helping the shipwrecked crew in Azshara fight off wave after wave of murlocs.
By best time was FINALLY killing the Lich King.
Before I every started playing World of Warcraft I played Warcraft 2 and 3. Warcraft 2 was the story of all the Legends of lore for the Horde and Alliance. Needless to say, all of BC and the stories what happened beyond the Dark Portal was like getting to live out the reunion of the characters from that era. In Warcraft 3 I was introduced to my favorite misunderstood Hero in Azeroth or anywhere else. Illidan Stormrage. My favorite memory of in my WoW career would have to be when Igot to be face to face with my Hero, then going toe to toe in battle with him. It a bittersweet victory being able to meet him and then having to kill my favorite character in the Warcraft Universe. As far as playing the game goes it was definitely a memorable kill. I had just the night before been given the server first Cataclysm's Edge on my Night Elf Arms Warrior (made originally as a tribute to Illidan himself as my first character ever made) and was doing amazing DPS. When we got him down it was not only the server first kill but our guild was also so far surpassing every other guild that we got him down the same night the 2nd place guild on my server finally downed Kael'thas and immediately after downed Rage Winterchill to finish their attunements to be able to zone into Black Temple. This meant that we had cleared the entire tier of content before the next best guild was even able to start on it.All in all, I was in my prime as a Warrior and at my prime I was able to encounter and defeat my Hero. May he rest in peace after so many years of being misunderstood.
My favorite wow moment was when we were raiding ICC and right before our first attempt on Lich King, my guildies were waiting for me to long on and when I got on they summoned me and were messing around summoning themselves and jumping off the edge, stupidly I thought it teleported me back up and I decided to jump off and fell to my death. It's my favorite moment because it was hilarious that I should have known that I would die, and I still get teased about it to this day.
My favorite WOW memory was when my guild finally down Vael in BWL back in classic. We worked so hard getting the fight down and tried at it so many times. Finally getting it was such a rush. I miss that sort of feeling.
Beggining an ulduar raid 25m with all those vehicles advancing towards the masses of enemies, Brann advicing us through radio... just epic.
My happiest moment in WoW is when I achieved the mount Rein's of the Fiery Warhorse dropped from Attumen the Horseman in Karazhan my 2nd try :)
