My favorite moment in wow was the sheer euphoria I got when I first watched the Forsaken PWN Arthas at the Battle of the Wrath Gate. Undead FTW... though I now play a troll... I played a Undead Priest for about 4 years. Yes, I'm a wow switcher.
My fav memory of playing WoW is clearing Karazhan. Why? B/c at the time my main was a Fury Warrior, and I was FURIOUS b/c every guild I was looking at (and even the guild I had leveled with!) wanted me to change spec to be a tank, but this was something I didn't want to do. I didn't understand how this would be fun for me, esp b/c I was literally being forced into it. But as luck would have it, I found a guild that wanted me the way I was - FURY - and took me to raid. They geared me out -- AS FURY -- and helped me to complete my very first raids. When we downed the last boss, I realized then that the best thing about the whole game was just having fun and doing your own thing. Don't let anyone force you into a spec you aren't interested in - the best guilds will take you as you are :)
When I got my first flying mount in Outland. The freedom, the speed, it changed the game for me. :)
My favorite memory is that about 2 months after joining my guild, I was on on alt doing some leveling and several guildies whispered me to ask that I get on my main to help with the current raid attempt. This was great due to being recognized as a team player and that I was already known that way in the guild.
My favourite moment must be when i got my first mount as a night elf hunter since i did it with 5 of my best friends and we all bought it together and we journeyed all over the world of warcraft and we all agreed that this game is the best ever made it was so cool ! And now i am like ''Can't wait untill i can spank Ragnaros again''
It's kinda silly, but my favorite moment was when I was questing in Sholozar Basin and came across a small island with a hatch on it that had a mouseover tool-tip that was a reference to the LOST tv show, right about the time that the show was nearing the series finale. My guildies probably though I was a dork because I wouldn't shut up about it for something close to a week.
My favorite WoW moment happened right after I began playing. One night, we were adding people to our real ID when one person was like, "Hey, there was a (my name) that I knew in Kansas City!" I said, "Well, I'm from (hometown) originally..) and she asked "Did you go to (my high school)?" Turns out she graduated the year after I did. I love this moment because it shows that even though there are millions of players playing WoW, there's still a chance that you'll run into someone you know; Even though that chance is small. :)
My favorite memory was back in the old days first time i was with my guild in UBRS. We played so long time before we was getting drakki down.Played with irl friends and had fun same time :)I miss that time :)
When I began playing, my friend rode into Teldrassil on an elekk, and proceeded to show me her sabers. I then decided that mounts were cool. Very cool, in fact. I got to level 20 and bought myself sabers as soon as I could, then going on to become exalted with the rest of the Alliance factions before level 50. At some point my same friend ported me to Shattrath and showed off her collection of flying mounts... I loved them. Once I hit level 70 and was capped there until I got Wrath, I grinded the long way to exalted with the Sha'tari Skyguard. The nether ray mounts were always my favorites, from the first time I heard they were actual mounts. The happiest point in WoW, for me, was getting exalted and buying all those nether rays. I felt very achieved, having done my first real rep grind and gotten my favorite mounts in the game.Second happiest point in the game was when 4.1 came out and they FINALLY fixed the camera on those nether rays. I can now fully enjoy them. Not that I didn't ride them when they still had camera issues, it was just an annoyance.
My favorite moment in WoW has to be the moment I set foot into my first raid. I was a huntard by any means, but something about 25 excited people on vent and the Halls of Ulduar just brings back great memories. Only in World of Warcraft can 25 complete strangers get together on the spot and accomplish something.
My favorite memory is when I leveled my first char with my brother. It was so epic and the world so huge. I was overwhelmed. And doing it with my brother made it ten times more awsome. Back then I thought l lvl 60 was huge and it was even wotlk :)
My favourite WoW moment was when my guild at the time, partnered with our 'sister' guild, downed Magtheridon for the first, and only time. This got me my "Champion of the Naaru" title on a night where I didn't feel like raiding. This totally made it worth while because I'm still sporting that as my main title out of the 23 or so I have since it's unobtainable now days.
My favorite moment was the entire leveling process back when I was a noob. I started playing around the middle of BC, and it was the greatest experience ever. I really miss the days of being a noob and not knowing everything about the game. Now days, it's just a grind-fest and almost a chore, not a fun experience to enjoy and remember. I made a lot of great friends back then, often teaming up to run instances and do quests. But now, you just queue up in the dungeon finder and run stuff with random people from other realms. It takes away a lot of the fun.I feel a little bad for the people who start playing around this time. They will never know how hard and fun it was to level up "back in the day". They'll never know what it's like to spend months trying to reach the level cap. They'll never make friends while running instances, often spending 1-2 hours trying to put together a group for them. At least I will remember those days, and I'll always cherish those memories. =)
