My favorite holiday would be Pilgrims Bounty, because it is intertwined with the actual thanksgiving holiday in real life, along with all the festivities and the ability to mass level your cooking skill all in one week.
Pilgrims Bounty, because we get an achievement for messing with rogues. <3
BREWFEST! I can't afford to get smashed in real life, and making a drunken fool of myself in-game is much more fun.
My favorite holiday is the Noblegarden. I love going around in Brill and grabbing the eggs out from other players' noses. XD
Id have to say that my favorite wow holidays have to be the winter veil.Basically because i am a farmer in world of warcraft (i do not raid much, but i farm much, gold, cloth etc, for no apparent reason lol, just like to have gold so i can buy stuff). In december last year, i was at the starting point of my farming career, i kept bragging in trade and guild chat on how much gold i make just by farming and skipping raid all the time, it always ended up with getting hate mails and begging mails. There was this one guy, just outside of orgrimmars main auction house that was begging for gold from everyone because he couldnt afford to buy himself a flying skill for 5000 gold, so he kept asking gold every now and then so he could actually buy it, he noticed that i talked alot about gold and nicely asked me if i could spare him some, but i straight away rejected him and told him to get it himself, i ended up ignoring him, even tho i knew that i was once a beggar myself, but i turned out not be like all other haters out there.A few hours later on into the night, i kinda felt bad that i did what i did, so i unignored him and told him that he could have those 5000 gold all for free, as a early gift/present.This turned out to be a very good decision because today he is the most trusted friend i got on world of warcraft (Maudin). Because of this generosity i got the title (Uncle scrooge) in my guild, letting everyone know that i was once like him, but changed in the end (the winter story). So once in a while now and then, i give gold to beggars , or people that are in need of gold or other stuff, just because i can and dislike the attitude of rude players that cant seem to spare some of their time for those that need it.This years Winters veil is going to be most splendid. Thank you!
My fav holiday? Love is in the Air. It gives me good reason to erp with my wife, teehee!
For me, Brewfest is my favorite holliday in Wow.. I used to work for Miller Brewing Company... Grew up in Milwaukee, and have always loved beer. As far as the achievements go.. they ask you to get tanked, fall off of stuff, dress up and be loud, do beer runs, join a beer of the month club, it's just well thought out and executed. Plus, I get to celebrate once a month for a whole year.
I would have to say the Lunar Festival. Not many games seem to honor the Chinese New Year, and the fact that WoW makes an effort to incorporate it into its rotation is kind of nice.Plus, traveling around and talking to different people makes the game fun. I'm one of the few who actually read the text all the NPC's say.In my opinion, the developers took the time to write it out. Its kind of sad that nobody seems to take the time to enjoy it, isn't it? Its almost a wasted effort.Only slightly off topic, but whatever lol.
Brewfest. Not only was my guild formed around that time a few years back, but it's a core of our philosophy! If we wipe on a boss during our weekly guild adventures, we break out the pony keg and the brown prairie dog pet and suddenly our next attempt is a success! Brewfest is a celebration of that winning combination! Taste Rightous Gizka Justice, Direbrew!
I have fond memories (and not-so-fond) memories of Pilgrim's Bounty. It was my first ever completed World Event after my return to WoW pre-Cata (I had tried completing it before, but a meta achievement is hard to do on a level 30 without a friend with a passenger mount) and stalking Dalaran for rogues to turn into turkeys. The best part? Watching my guild leader prance around on Anzu, the Raven Lord -- the mount I wanted most -- before turning him into a turkey and then watching the turkey ride around (with another turkey shooter up my sleeve) with a satisfied and smug smirk.
Children's Week! I feel ultra responsible taking the little tykes around Azeroth and into unknown danger. There's usually a cool story involved too, though I wish they would elaborate on some of them ;)
It's a toss up between Hallow's End (since Halloween is my birthday) and Winter Veil. My first WoW holiday back in 2005 was Winter Veil, so that makes it pretty special.
Hallow's End is my favorite because the NIGHTELF MOHAWK says so!
Midsummer Fire Festival. Why? I like trying the torch tossing quests (even though I fail at them) and I love the title it gives.
Hmm, choosing between holidays is always difficult, but I'd have to go with Hallows End. Its the first holiday I really got to experience fully, and I got the meta as well as every hallows achieve related to it! I'M still waiting for that mount though!
