It's always been a close call between Hallow's End and Midsummer Fire Festival for me, but the Cataclysm changes to Hallow's End made it rise above this time. I've always liked the Candy Bucket collecting (and bonfire collecting on Fire fest) because it's always a nice chunk of easy gold for a level capped char or very nice exp for a lower level alt (most probably getting some discovery exp and discovery achievements too while I'm at it) =)
I like Hallow's End because I like to see what goes bump in the night. Save the day by slaying dire evil threats :).
I gotta say, Childrens week.. something fun about exploring the world to show it to a kid and getting a pet for it :D
Hallow's End is my favorite. The story behind the Horseman is the best of all the holiday events and trick or treating was my favorite time of the year when I was a kid. Getting to fly all over the world I am in everyday now and recapture a small part of that is awesome. Plus, I love my Hallowed Helm and Sinister Squashling.
Hello, im 12 years old and i live in sweden. My favourite holiday in World of Warcraft is Hallow's End because i like to go around in all the places of the world, doing trick or treat. I am also a fan of The Headless Horseman. Its good that they changed Hallow's End a little, with the gilneans and the cool event at 20:10 realm time. Good Job Blizzard! I think they should do it to all of the holidays. And maybe do a dungeon for Noblegarden? ^^ I know i wont get any items because the things i write is just like everyone else's but its anyways fun to comment. and Wowhead you rock! Your the best site for getting help on hard quest or see where i can find an item and i will always continue using you when i play wow.
my favorite holiday is Brewfest. i had so much fun this year i got to raid drunk.... it went over well only a few wipes...
This post was from a user who has deleted their account.
Noblegarden.... i could only imagine what Goldshire on Moon guard would be like :D! pick me btw because i have bought a ton of these packs ( in general not this expac of cards) hoping for a mount! have only gotten one 3/3 loot card and it was an accidental purchase >< .. spectral kitten, not the tiger!
my favorite holiday would definitely be Winter Veil aka christmas it just one of those time that everyone is relaxing and just enjoy the game and not take everything too serious like if you wipe on a boss the raid leader wouldnt be as mad as he usually would. it just that one time of the year that everyone enjoy/love.
What is your favorite holiday in World of Warcraft and why?Definetly would have to be Winter Veil, not only was this my last achievment to my puprle proto drake ^_~ . It has many other cool presents and events and questlines to do each year! So looking forward to this years Winters Veil :D
I love Feast of Winter Veil, especially opening a whack load of presents!"Feast of Winter Veil is like an epic boss kill, you never know what you are going to get."
I love Hallow's End so much! I remember traipsing out to Scarlet Monastery, summoning a million alts with my friends, and fighting the Headless Horseman (I love his rhyming). But my favourite holiday still has to be the Midsummer Fire Festival! Every year I look forward to it and I do it on a new character (or re-do it on my main).I started playing in June of 2008, along with my husband. We were complete and total noobs, and we managed to get ourselves killed in PVP (despite being on a PvE server) at level FIVE in Teldrassil. We were on an RP server and had no idea about PvP flagging, but we were so incensed that some people were killing night elf NPCs that we attacked them for great justice! Us: Level Five. Them: Level 70. You can imagine it didn't end well. This is all to set the scene against the backdrop of the Fire Festival, when it occurred a short time later.I kept getting hopelessly lost on my way to fires but was determined to find them. Each time I clicked to desecrate a Horde fire my heart would just about pound out of my chest! I sat, stealthed and staring at an Ashenvale fire on my level 25 druid because I was determined to get enough flowers to purchase her a dress - so that she could dance the kitty dance with her paws on fire! Because she had no mount, when I say she was running around the world I mean it quite literally!I also rode boats and trekked all over the world with my highest level character (a level 44 priest!) in order to do as much of the festival as I could. A group of us (yes, all in our 40s) even organized a trip to Thunder Bluff to steal their flame! I was confident we could do it! The rest of the group thought we were crazy as we died again and again to the guards on our slow death march to the Thunder Bluff flame, but I assured them we would make it. I'm happy to say that we DID do it, managing to loot the flame right before our last death. I'm somewhat less happy to report that unfortunately, even if you organize a group of your noobish friends to die twenty times in Thunder Bluff, you still can't do anything with the flame after you've stolen it because it has a level restriction of 60 (a seemingly insurmountable goal at level 44, let me tell you). The Fire Festival brings me right back to that time when everything in the game was new and fresh to me. My first world PvP, my first holiday, my endearing noobishness. It inspired me to traipse across the world to see fireworks in Ironforge, to take hundreds of screenshots, to pit myself against the opposite faction, and to dance in circles around a ribbon pole until I was about ready to hurl. Even though I no longer play that night elf priest or druid full-time, I still remember their first holiday and smile because I think the holidays in WoW are some of the most fun I've had in gaming. This was before achievement points existed, when it wasn't about racking up a score, but rather, just for the sheer delight of having something. My cat was going to dance with her paws on fire, and that's all there was to it! The Midsummer Fire Festival was the first time I saw what I thought was a static world actually change, and I'm still excited every time I see the decorations of a new holiday popping up to herald its beginning. The Fire Festival remains my favourite because it was the first one, but there isn't a holiday I don't love!
Hallow's End because EPIC LOOT and because that's the only one with Achievements that are fun imo, nice pets (I love the new cat-on-a-broom pet, got it first day), and funny quests.:D
Finally a contest that i can enter /o/My favorite it is the Winter's Veil, waiting for the presents under the tree is great.
Hallow's end, cause 5 years of farming the mount ...
