i have to say both Hallow's End, Children's week and Winter Veil all are times were i have the most fun. Hallow's End saving the children in the towns and getting the mini pets, also the achievements are awesome. Children's week the achievements are cute and i love the mini pets. finally winter veil the whole thing just warms my heart. let me win the pet at least
My favourite holiday would have to be Hollows End. When I experienced it first, I was only 64 (the level cap was at 70) so I had to sit out doing the Headless Horseman but I was SOOOO excited to kill him. The trick or treating in Outlands was fun but there was nothing I wanted more than killing that flaming pumpkin head. Luckily I was in a guild with a bunch of friends and when I was 67 they took me into SM to show that Horseman who's boss! It was the best experience EVER! Him flying out of the grave, his head popping off and having to go all out on it, pumpkin soldiers running around everywhere and getting a flaming pumpkin thrown on your head. It was all so new and it was a kind of controlled chaos. It was marvelous! He didn't drop his famous mount but I got some loot that would help me for when I hit the level cap. The candy you get that rains down when you kill him was just icing on the cake. Boy did I eat that stuff until I was sick over and over again.
My favourite holiday is Valentine day...Because on that day whole Azeroth is in love,on a few days there are no horde/ally wars (i dont count BGs :)...It is romantic and nice...I am love fool yay :D
I really enjoy the Halloween events, it gives me another mount to chase after year after year. Maybe this year i'll win it!
The post number shall be over 9000!
So far my favorite holiday is Hallow's End...so much candy!
Gotta be Brewfest. Back in wrath I remember dual-wielding Tankard o' Terror on an alt for awhile, and I've got a couple Direbrew's Bloody Shanker for my rogue. The food, to booze, and some of the flavor items add a lot to the game. Breaking out a Pony Keg (Or a Keg Pony) is always fun. Hopefully we'll see new content for Brewfest and the other holidays like we have for hallows end. I still haven't gotten either of the mounts ;_;
My Favourite event are the Winter's veil. Why? Because it's the moment of the year where people come together to enjoy what joy there is to find in the cold weather. We get closer and help eachother out in different ways. Snowball fights, awkward mistletoe kisses and lovable presents are things some people might only experience in Azeroth. So on Winter's Veil, we all are Merrymakers.
I love them all!
Do Darkmoon Faire count as a world event? Well if it does I'm definitely going to choose it. I don't really like it so much but it's still the event I've fallen for. I think it's because.. you know when you leveled up your first character and you wanted epic mount so badly but you didn't have enough money to buy it? Well that is anyway the case for me. So I searched "how to make gold" on youtube and ended up finding a video claiming to make like 100k during the Darkmoon Faire. Of course I didn't make so much money, infact I didn't make any at all xD but now everytime I see thats Darkmoon Fair is coming up it makes me happy :D strange....And if Darkmoon Faire do not count I will have to choose Hallow's End because League of Legends have their "birthday" today. :D (27/10)
Out of all the World Holidays I think I like Hallow's End the best. I love when the major cities get redecorated to match the spirit of the holiday (witch hats on statues and pumpkins everywhere!), that we get to battle the Headless Horseman (who refuses, year after year to give me his mount!), and that we can fairly easily earn up treats to purchase and/or randomly get as loot some awesome vanity pets! That Halloween happens to be my birthday is totally a coincidence and has not made me biased in any way towards Hallow's End. ;)
I would have to say that there is a toss up in my favorite holiday on wow that would be Christmas and Hollows End. There is just something about that time of the year that makes me look forward to my future.
I honestly LOVE Hallow's End!The reason i like it so much is all the spooky stuff going on, lets say Goldshire! It has always been a nice place, not so special overall but these few days..When the Shade of the Headless Horseman himself decides to give this innocent little village a visit with an attempt to burn everything!Though.. Brave as we are, we will stand and fight! Fight with honor to keep our lovely village, Goldshire itself, safe for every fellow traveler.Not to mention every great costume, all these sweet candy varieties and the hilarious stink bomb war between the Horde and the Alliance!Well and of course that isnt everything! By the time the clock hits 1:00 AM the 18th of october, the first thing i do is: summon my sinister squashling, jump on mymount, pop some awesome music and then run through whole of Azeroth and Outlands just for the sake of all the good memories iv had in my lovely wow career.
Love is in the Air because i am in love !
I'm personally a fan of Children's Week, especially being on an RP server it just ties into the story well, orphaned children of the various wars that you can help forget about past dilemmas for a time to enjoy some of the beautiful sights Azeroth has to offer.
