I usually go for mages, mostly because i prefer to nuke enemies from far away.
Howdy! I play(ed) EQ, EQ2 and WoW. Most of my toons have been healers, but I have tried all the classes. I am building a Mage (WoW) right now. I prefer casters though; especially when I played EQ and could not gate as a warrior, etc.
On all RPGs I normally play a Rogue or Caster type class. On WoW I have an 85 Rogue and an 85 Priest. Although in TES V: Skyrim, I was an Archer because there was an indescribable thrill to shooting someone with an arrow from 200 yards away.

The majority of the time I play a caster, but occasionally I play a paladin type class.
i normally play hunter/rangers or healers
I usually try to play everything. I like to be good at all roles in a game. I typically enjoy a melee dps role more than others, more specifically the rogue type classes. I like being sneaky the punishing players I catch off guard. :)
Rogue. Following the archer and apothecary aspects of early day assassins. The most fun way to enjoy a game from the shadows.
I've tried them all, but I keep coming back to my first and best. I love the archers ranged dps. It's like game imitates life, since I'm an archer in the real world.
Agility users are my most played classes, except when you can go hybrid spell-casting-rogues
I've always been drawn to the caster type classes. My oblivion character was a mage, my first class and only raider in wow was a warlock, and my character in skyrim is mostly caster with a bit of 2 handed weapons when i run out of magicka.
I usually go with a rogue-ish class, or a wizardy type. If I can somehow combine the two, I'll go for that. Spellblade for the win!
Deathbringyr here! In the RPG's I play, I always try to play they variety of classes. I thrive in PvP Combat, but enjoy every aspect of the game, the subtle nuances that really give it depth. I tend to favor the melee classes, but if it deals damage I enjoy playing it regardless!
I always play a melee class, because I like to get right in the middle of the action and get my hands (and blades) dirty.
Ever since launch i had to be the friend that "sucked it up and healed". Over the years its just become what i understand and excel at, and as such when i start a new game i generally make sure i can heal in some form or way.
I'll play most anything, it always depends on how I like the gameplay.
