Im usually a ranged archer type
I am usually drawn to playing a ranger type or a caster class with a pet first but almost always end up playing through my first clear as a warrior or melee tank/damage class and go back and playing again as something ranged. Though after playing the demo for this game, the rogue/stealth game-play was actually pretty fun and very cinematic. I can't wait to play this game, though with it being 200+ hours of game-play, I'm really going to have focus and choose what kind of character I'm going to build.
I'll be honest, I do tend to mix it up a ton between different games. I do enjoy ranged whether it's a caster or not and I do always like to try out the stealthy types as well. I also like to smash stuff a lot harder at times to with the usual warrior type.
Used to prefer Warrior/Tank.... now caster....

I usually play a spellcaster, blasting foes with arcane energies from afar.
i like playing the hunter or mage groups. The Hunter'a ability for ranged archery and use of a pet as a tank is really great, don't need another person for two man groups. Mages are unique spellcasters and will have either an elemental or special ability that helps to overcome mobs. Both of these types are good for going it alone, or working in a group.
I usually play casters and healers, but for some reason my main in WoW is a DK. xD
I'm normally the warrior type. Sword and Shield, no magic, that's the life!
I always enjoy being the sneaky sneaky rogue type character.
I'm always the Warrior. I think it's the most balanced melee class.
I usually prefer playing ranged DPS. My first choice is always a caster but sometimes I enjoy playing an archer.
I force myself to play a different way every time I play a new RPG.I played as a two handed warrior in an RPG I just finished, and I was a battlemage in another I recently completed. In the KoA demo, I felt inclined to be a full-on mage. I like the way the spells feel, and attacking with a staff felt better to me than the sword or daggers (although the slick, fast feel of the daggers felt pretty sweet).I try to build a certain character class to it's maximum potential, I'm constantly min/maxing as much as I can in my head in RPG games. The effort really shows in talent trees; It bothers me to no end. I take talents that go well together, and try to see the "big picture" of a character I'm going to create as I level up.
Usually either a thief, mage or if i can dual class it up ^_^
